Yea, it's night and day. Here's why:
-Bradford is healthy and improved
-Our OC doesn't have his head up his butt
-Our OL while still beat up and meh is better coached and is protected by intelligent play-calling
-We have a legit change of pace back behind SJ
-Gibson has improved substantially
-Amendola is back with a vengeance
and
-We have a legit deep threat in Givens
That's not even considering what Quick might offer once he's up to speed.
But the offense is a lot better. Your DL worries me greatly but this team has actually had good play-calling this year and our WRs have been getting open at times. Givens and Gibson have been getting separation deep while Amendola continues to do what he does.
Don't be surprised if Peterson is over-aggressive if Gibson beats him with a double move. His route running especially on the double move has improved greatly. I'd say Lloyd helped him out there or Coach Sherman is that good of a coach.

In order to win this game we need chris long to go off...
Im talking 3 sacks. hes fully capable of doing that. Get alot of pressure on Kolb, force mistakes and play efficient offense. We also NEED to establish a running game.
More quick and givens please.

No.. We need to stop the run. Point blank.. They can't pass on us. If they have a running game it's going to be a long day. Wears are D down and keeps the offense out of rhythm. Stop the run at all cost.
I'll take my chances vs LOLkolb. Also, for Pete sake don't punt the ball

The Cards are one of those teams that can put points on the board in all three phases of their game.
Not to mention having all world wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald on the their team would make just about anybody under center look good.
Then there is the fact they will look ordinary for three quarters of the game and then just absolutely explode all over their opponent - just like they did against Miami.
This is one of those games the Rams are going to have to play hard whistle to whistle and not let up until the very end. |

We only need 23 yards to get into field goal range! God I would love to see an attempted 70 yarder. He barely squeezed in that 60 yarder though. I think his max would probably be 65-67 when he starts to condition. Scary kid though. |

Pretty accurate statement.
Arizona did not look good coming out until halftime against Miami. After the half, the defense barely let them do anything except for a miscue or two.
Ryan Williams had a hard time running against what was arguably the best run D in the NFL right now (Miami).. he did well to rack up yards against the Eagles tho even when they were in run formations expecting it.
No Card fans are taking this game lightly and a lot of people expect it to be another statement game (short week, lots of limited players in practice, divisional, etc.) so it should be a hell of a game.

Really interested in seeing how your O-Line matches up against our DL. If Dockett plays.. him and Campbell wreck havoc on interior guards. Acho has been generating a lot of pressure on the outside as well, even against Jake Long last week. Schofield has been doing alright as well, he had a 15 or 17 yard sack last week even.
Most of our pressure has been coming from up the gut lately and our ILB tandem Lenon and Washington. |

Those of you that want to know how our WR's are doing on the drop % department.
We rank 7th in the league..
117 Targets and 78 rec with a drop rate of % 3.4
Seaducks are second in the league with %1.1
Niners are dead last %10.1
Last year we were 31st with a drop rate of %6.1

Perhaps he should have appeared on the MVP Watch list. |

I am not entirely sure what has happened but LOLkolb seems to have taken very much of a back seat to efficient take what the defense gives me Kolb.
7 TD's to just 2 INT's, 63% completions. Lots of short routes, slants, drives, and the like to get us into second and short. If he can keep that up, and of most importance, not turn the ball over, we are going to be a very tough team to beat.
What killed us last season was giving opposition teams short fields to drive on our defense. That was really the only way we gave up TD's. We have only given up 3 TD's on drives starting on the oppositions side of midfield this season, two of those were vs Miami, one a result of a massive blown coverage by Kerry Rhodes who had been very good to that point this season.
I really want to see what Ryan Williams can get started on the ground in this game. We have faced some pretty solid RUn D's this year in Seattle, New England and Miami (2nd, 7th and 1st in opposition YPA) With the Rams in 27th at 4.7 YPA allowed it is statistically the worst run D we have played by close to a yard and a half. Will be very interesting to see what Williams can do. If if he can get something going on the ground;
A] Will Whis/Miller stick on the ground and keep running it.
B] Will Whis/Miller call more playaction as Kolb has proven very successful on PA over the last season or so.
But yeah, Don't Punt to PP, although he looked really out of sorts vs Miami, he is really pressing for a big return and to get into the endzon. I would not be a bad idea to put som air under one and get your guys downfield to try and force a fumble on first contact, Peterson is not one to call a lot of Fair Catches.

Massie gave up four sacks last week? 
Opposite Batiste is rookie right tackle Bobby Massie, who struggled last week against Miami’s Cameron Wake. Wake posted 4.5 sacks in that game as the Dolphins finished with eight sacks.

We left him on an island against Wake and never adjusted until the middle of the fourth quarter. We, for the first time this season, spread it out, went four wide and it really left our OL out to dry. I would expect a lot more TE's and tight formations this week, especially if we plan to run the football.
We will still keep 2/3 WR's on the field, but use a lot more bunch and tight formations. The best thing to watch with Larry, Andre and Michael is that all three are very good run blockers, so we can run effectively out of three wide sets and then transition that into playaction.
IF our coaching staff decides to go that route.
