Santonio Holmes is Calvin Pace 2.0. The FO got absolutely WORKED. And alot of it falls on Rex Ryan, calling the guy our best offensive player, "Tone time", etc. and he got a contract he doesn't deserve even half of.

Pace at least made contributions in his first two years as a pass rusher and then continued to be a really solid run defender. I respect him infinitely more then Santonio Holmes. _________________

I hate Holmes...I didn't want to pay him the money we gave him and all he has done since is prove he didn't a big contract. The way he tossed that ball into the air after getting hurt was the last straw. It seems like he went out of his way to make sure the Niners came up with the ball after he went down. I wouldn't mind the Jets offense if he was the #2 and did more damage from the slot but he is just hurting the team as the primary pass catcher. His injury should be a great opportunity for Hill and Kerley to get some action and if we can get a running game going I'm ok with that...we aren't going to light up any score boards but we should be able to put enough points on the board to compete against most of the teams on our schedule.

@JasonColeYahoo: Jets WR S. Holmes has a lisfranc injury to his left foot. Still unclear if it's broken, but is 99% likely out for the season.

I never wish injury on no one. But I wouldn't be mad if he was out for the year. _________________

Isn't his deal like Sanchez's though, won't it be hard for us to cut or trade him after this year? I think both of them may still be on the roster for next year, but after that more than likely both will be gone. _________________

Couldn't agree more. When he does that pointing and dropping the football after first downs I want to reach through the TV and punch him.
Can't wait until he's gone. _________________

I hate that too. He even do it when we are getting crushed. _________________

Yeah. We need to hope for a trade. I would trade him for a napkin, as long as it means we're free from his attitude and contract. _________________

We'd save around $1.25M if we cut him ($12.5M cap hit, only $11.25M dead cap hit). Not exactly ideal, but yeah. _________________
