Barring any major injuries to key personnel, I could see the season play out as follows...
@ Baltimore - W - With Ratliff and Spencer back and having the Bye Week to regroup our defense should be better. Our offensive line will have trouble with their front 7, but we have the talent to win a close one. Dallas 17, Baltimore 14
@ Carolina - W - Unless Cam Newton goes Superman on us, we can beat them pretty handily.
vs. NY Giants - L - Eli owns Cowboys Stadium. Sucks.
@ Atlanta - W - They don't impress me much. We have the talent to beat them and will do so by 10 or more points.
@ Philadelphia - L - Tough place to play and we almost never play well against Vick.
vs. Cleveland - W - They are rebuilding, again, for the 14th straight year. It really has to suck to be a Cleveland fan.
vs. Washington - W - Thanksgiving and beating the Redskins, an American Tradition.
vs. Philadelphia - W - We have a few extra days to prepare and they have a short week, having played the previous Monday night.
@ Cincinnati - L - Being overconfident from our 3 game winning streak, we are due for a big letdown.
vs. Pittsburgh - L - Still flat from the previous week's letdown, we drop another game to a beatable team.
vs. New Orleans - W - Reeling from 2 straight losses and sick of the media hammering the "Romo in December" nonsense down our throats, the Cowboys pound the Saints and win by 17 or more.
@ Washington - W - Garrett somehow gets this team to finally win out. We make the playoffs as a wild card team with a 10-6 record. _________________

Nope. But I am even less impressed by them. I am more impressed by the Cardinals being 4-0 than I am with Atlanta. Our CB's will matchup pretty well against Atlanta's WR. Lee and Carter can stop Turner from running wild. Their defense doesn't worry me much. I mean yeah, sure, Sean Weatherspoon and their starting CB's are pretty good, but what else do they have? Their pass rush ain't that great because Abraham seems to have lost a step. Ray Edwards has mad elittle to no impact this season. Their DT's are better against the run than the pass.
If our O-line just plays mediocre football, we can beat the Falcons by 10 or more points. _________________

I'm "expecting" to lose the next 5 games. I hope the Boys could maybe win 2 of the 5. _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...

Seems I have us going 7-9 once I tallied it up. Thought we'd be a 9-7/10-6 team going into the year so if we fix some things we could swing a sweep on the Redskins and maybe pull off a win vs. the Bengals. _________________

@ Baltimore - W - This maybe optomistic, but I am hoping for a revamped team coming out of the bye. With two weeks to prepare and the sour taste of the Bear game.. I think/hope we come out swinging.
@ Carolina - W - Carolina is not a good team. This should be a victory.
vs. NY Giants - W - I am not sure the Giants are a good team this year either. The game is at home, so I favor us.
@ Atlanta - L - Atlanta is a tough place to play and they are a very good team.
@ Philadelphia - L - Again, Philly at home will be tough.
vs. Cleveland - W - Cle should be a gimmie.
vs. Washington - W - See above
vs. Philadelphia - W - Split the series
@ Cincinnati - W - They are playing OK football right now, but I dont see them as a legit playoff threat... yet.
vs. Pittsburgh - L - Steelers in Dec? Ive seen this story before
vs. New Orleans - W - Until they show me something, I am going to continue to believe they are terrible.
@ Washington - W - We own Washington
That puts at 11-5 and division champs. _________________

Never happen and I think Romo is a much better QB but...
Orton starts at QB with the goal to just manage the game > Garrett is forced to game-plan with a less talent QB so we have a more conservative offense > We no longer get cute on offense, just pound it and hit the open WR > Defense plays like it did the first 3 games > We win.
I dunno guess I want to see us get back to the basics before making WR hot routes on the go, running 14 reverses a game, drop DEs into coverage blah blah blah _________________

The Cowboys have a 12-4 D, 11-5 skill positions on offense, and a 4-12 oline. Roll an 8-8 coach into it and I'm seeing anything from 7-9 wins. Just like I see every year. There's no point in guessing how this team will perform on a week to week basis. There's not enough consistency to guess which games will be wins, and which ones will be losses. But this team is consistently inconsistent, so 8-8 sounds about right. _________________

@ Baltimore -L (Not winning in Baltimore)
@ Carolina - W (Carolina is not very good like us)
vs. NY Giants -L (Giants own us at home)
@ Atlanta -W (win a game winning FG)
@ Philadelphia -L (Get blown out in Philly)
vs. Cleveland -W (Play crappy but win)
vs. Washington -W (dogfight but win )
vs. Philadelphia -W (payback)
@ Cincinnati -W (Cincy will fold quicker then we do late)
vs. Pittsburgh -W (pitt will be banged up and won't need the game)
vs. New Orleans - L ( NO will be dead, boys' will take the day off thinking they can clinch a playoff spot divison title.)
@ Washington -L ( loss on A Dez Bryant dropped pass int return for td as we're icing the game and playoff spot)
Miss the playoffs by tiebreaker to the seahawks haha |
