There are still plenty of positions to upgrade on this team, so I don't know if I'd draft another Safety in the first round. Targeting an impact DT, LB, WR or CB would probably be wiser and more pragmatic. _________________

Ideally. as of now I am not really sold on any WR and LB prospects in the mid to late first. There are a few DTs I like and it is a position that deserves consideration. Though, DT is usually a hard position to draft in round 1. |

Maybe. There are worthwhile DT prospects in this class, though. I would be elated to get Star Lotulelei or Johnathan Hankins in the first. _________________

I think most have those two as top 10 picks at this point. I am having a hard time seeing the Vikings as a bottom 10 team. Though a trade is possible. Kawann Short is another name to keep an eye on. Could be a middle 1st to early 2nd type prospect and he is a good interior pass rusher, which is really what this defense needs.
Otherwise, this draft really has a lot of big body type DTs in the early rounds, atleast its shaping up that way. A lot will change from now until then, but a big body who doesnt get after the QB doesnt really help this defense.
Letroy Guion has looked pretty good at NT, MN really needs that true UT type player. |

Problem with 4-3 LBs, particularly undersized 4-3 LBs is there is not a lot of demand for them. Brown probably wont get looked at by 3-4 teams and many 4-3 schemes could consider Brown too small to be a MLB. He could be moved to OLB, though he has played largely at MLB. Lavonte David went early last year despite being the same type of prospect, though David was proven as an OLB. |
Brown is 6'1 228. Just as a comparison John Beason is 6'0 235, Patrick Willis is 6'1 240. All Brown would really need is maybe 5-10 more pounds. Brown is a true enforcer on that defense. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him challenge Te'o as the #1 MLB prospect. I got to see him againdt my Tigers last year. We maybe got a couple long runs in. He was always near the ball. I'm going to stay with my brother on the 27th and go to K States homecoming against Texas A&M. I'll be watching him closely.
As for Hunter. I could see him going before Woods, Allen, or Williams. I'm just enamored with this kid. _________________

Love the first two picks, I'd be okay with the trade down if Te'o, Hunter, are not available.
With all the great offenses in the NFC North I think McDonald would be a great pick.
The secondary would look like,
CB-Chris Cook
S-Harrison Smith
S-TJ McDonald
CB-Josh Robinson
CB-AJ Jefferson
Amazing, young secondary. _________________ NBA: Lakers: Bucks
