Jerry Rice was a drop machine his 1st year or 2. |
I took that as Reg thinking Llittle is the next Jerry Rice.
Awesome. i don't see it myself.... _________________

As of right now, Little's play is inexcusable.
He's dropping 2-3 balls a game, not a ball every 2-3 games (which we all could live with).
At this rate he'll have double digit drops by the end of the Giants game. _________________ First Ballot Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee. |

The common denominator in our 4 losses is dropped balls. Little, Cameron, Gordon, Norwood and two should have been interceptions. Richardson's even dropped a couple. |

As of right now, even though many of you will disagree with it, Little is the Browns best WR IMO. We do not have another receiver who is capable of consistently getting open like Little can. MoMass is a very crafty player with solid hands, but he struggles to get separation consistently.. Resulting in him disappearing from time to time (for entire games, not plays or series). I still have faith in Little and believe he will be a good WR in time. I also have faith in Gordan and Benjamin for the future. I still believe we may be set at WR.
Obviously Little's drops bother me, just like everyone else, but it's waaayyy too early to give up on him. _________________ RIP Crakburn, B2TB, Sean Taylor and Chris Henry

This is pretty spot on.
I love everything about Greg Little except his hands
I also love that his twitter avatar is of "Optimus Prime" dude is more like Johnny 5 from Short Circuit. |

The thing that's being missed on that play was the beautiful throw. Perfect. |
Maybe this was covered in another thread.....but that throw showed me something about our QB......he stepped up into the TEETH of the Baltimore pass rush on that play.....and that throw he made was Elite....I only see 5-6 QB's in the NFL making that throw. _________________ -A team is built through the Draft.

Dawg, I agree completely - helluva throw under heat. Weeden in general improves every week. Being a rook he's gonna have variations to his game but overall, I really like the guy - he's gonna be just fine and sooner rather than later.
Little, on the other hand, is a heart breaker, no other way to say it. Reggie is right that Rice corrected his early drop woes (and no I don't think that means he thinks Little will be Rice, he was just making an example of a WR making improvement) Dwayne Bowe I'd say is another example, he clearly improved his catching reliability between his 2nd-3rd seasons & beyond. But those examples are few and far between; by and large bad hands are bad hands, and Little consistent inconsistency is already wearing thin.
Benjamin and Gordon show promise, but Little is in no way, shape or form a number one WR - this position clearly needs to be addressed in the off season, I hope they bring in a FA who's experience and HANDS will make the whole unit better. |
