What's funny is we've lost to the Raiders and Chiefs at Mile High the past few years but beat them at their places.

We need to go at least 4-2 in the division. _________________

Carolina is awful this year. I highly doubt we lose to them, to be completely honest. And by awful, I mean they have absolutely no defense. Manning is going to torch them. _________________

If we can split the next two games, that should put us in good stead for a 10 win season. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

i'd be real pleased with 10 wins. I think I predicted 8 or 9.
The key to the playoffs is the Chargers. The next two weeks will tell us a lot. Two away games against tough opponents. After the bye, it's no cake walk with a desperate team in NO at home and the Bengals on the road.
I like the way we're improving weekly. Finally handled an inferior team easily. Haven't done that with consistency since Red Miller.
We're on the right track. Just can't see us making the playoffs unless we sweep SD and win the AFC West. |

Am I the only one not that impressed by SD? They played 3 cupcake teams so far, and the one good team they actually played- Atlanta- thoroughly smacked them around. I don't really think they are THAT good, however their soft schedule will lead to a decent amount of wins. _________________

No, you're not. I completely agree. They are finding ways to win, but they are not impressive. When Matthews is losing carries to Jackie Battle and their two main targets (Floyd and Gates) aren't lighting the world on fire, their offense doesn't scare me.
Week 1: Beat the Raiders by 8. We just beat the same team by 30.
Week 2: Beat the Titans by 4 scores. The Titans leading rusher was Jake Locker with 21 yards.
Week 3: Held to 3 points against the only good team they have played. Like I said earlier, their offense doesn't scare me.
Week 4: Beat the Chiefs by 17. The Chiefs had 5 turnovers. And the Chiefs suck.
Needless to say, I don't think the Chargers are anything but a mediocre team that has had any extremely easy schedule. If we do not go at least 4-2 in this division we do not deserve to make that playoffs. _________________

Out of everyone here, I probably watch and follow the Chargers most and I can say the Broncos are a better team than them. The Chargers are looking for an identity clearly, I think they will find it when Mathews gets more carries but that depends on him being healthy and holding onto the ball. If Mathews can get it going that opens up the PA bombs to Meachem and Floyd and the mid-posts to Gates more. They've had to dink and dunk at times since the running game is inconsistent. Their O-line has holes, sure Gaither helps improve the leftside but Green and at times Vasquez have been their weakest link. As for their Defense, it has improved but their secondary lacks depth and playmakers aside from Weddle. I like Butler a lot and Ingram is still developing. Luiget has seemed to improve a bit as well as Martin. Thomas is still a project. They definitely look to create turnovers, so they arm tackle a lot which could result in big runs. _________________
