McCarthy is supposed to be close. I'd say he has his best chance to play this week than any other week.
I won't expect to see Locker for at least 2 games. _________________ "I'm not locked in here with you. You locked in here with ME!" |

I really hope that the "Hurt Locker" isn't a nickname that follows his NFL career... _________________

Nothing serious. No structural damage. Might miss Sundays game but that's it. _________________

Had a teammate who's shoulder popped out seemed like every game....don't know how to keep that from happening. _________________ "I'm not locked in here with you. You locked in here with ME!" |

Its kinda like a sprained ankle, the more you do it the more likely it is to occur. _________________

Don't get blindsided and then have another player come by and clip your shoulder with his helmet. _________________

Locker needs to man up and play through it just like he did vs San Diego.
We're dead in the water without him. |

That's not true. Matt Hasselbeck came in and put up 28 points. _________________

whats funny is our defense played well. Hass put us in the hole with his 2 pick 6's. We need Locker to play Hass just doesnt have to many good drives in him it seems. Even with CJ running well Hass had 2 good drives. Granted Stewart Campbell an Thomspon didnt help many drives with there penalties. But even though the defense played better we still just cant sniff the QB. We need a pass rush we should still beat Minn but AP and Rudolph will be the 2 players that give us trouble. But we need Locker i hope hes good to go _________________

If Jake can't go and Hass stinks up the place again, I hope we look at giving Rusty a shot. Need to know if another backup QB is worth a relatively high draft choice (4th/5th round) _________________

I think McCarthy is a go. I would personally sit Locker for the next 2 games. The vikes game and the steelers on a short week. I would rest him 2 weeks and bring him back after the Steelers. JMO. _________________

I agree. As much as it pains me to see Hasselback start, I think it'll be better for Jake in the long run. After the Steelers game we get a mini bye with a 10 day break, so that'll give him plenty of time to rest and heal his shoulder. |

It is pretty much confirmed that he will sit multiple weeks. He could go for surgery and be out for the season. I know he would play hurt, but at some point you have to think of the future. Hate it for the guy, he was hurt off and on college. I hope it is not carrying over into his pro career.

| Quote: | Dr. Mike Pagnani, director of Nashville Knee and Shoulder Center, told The Tennessean once a player has that injury, it will continue to happen. Pagnani has been the team physician for the New York Giants and the NHL's Nashville Predators, as well as a consultant for the Miami Dolphins.
"Eventually, the pain will go away," Pagnani said. "The risk is, it's going to happen again and it's probably just a matter of time before it does. He is going to go out there and he is going to get hit wrong and it's going to pop out again. And he'll go through the same scenario where they pop it back in, and he's going to be real sore for a week or two until he ultimately gets it fixed."
Pagnani thinks surgery is inevitable. In that scenario, Locker would be done for the season with a four to six month recovery time.
"He's already had one trial of non-operative treatment, and maybe I would give him one more shot at this," Pagnani said. "But if it popped out again, that would probably be it. I would probably just fix it, and that would be the end of the season for him. |

I give up. Locker was the one thing that made me want to put myself through watching our putrid team take a dump all over the field every Sunday. _________________
