Key Questions For the Game
1.) Can Hasselbeck lead us to a win?
2.) Was last game a fluke or is CJ back?
3.) Will Michael Griffin do anything?
4.) Can this team make it through a game without an injury?
5.) Can our D contain AP like they did with Foster in the 1st half against Houston?

Based on who kicked this off, it's a heart-stopping close win for the Titans, who desperately try to throw the game away at the end. _________________

Should be a good game, I dont expect the Vikes to win in a convincingly fashion. Should be a close game.
So whats the deal with Chris Johnson. Where did last weeks performance come from?
Steve Hutchinson comes home, should be interesting, how has he been for you guys? |

The Titans are undefeated against the NFC North this season. So there's that. _________________

He tends to blend in with the rest of the guys who get dragged into the backfield on a play by play basis. It's an art form almost. _________________

Kyle Rudolph is going to destroy our defense.
And not just because he's really good.
It's because every TE, even the worst in the NFL, could play well vs this defense.
I pray to all that is holy that Locker can play, otherwise we get embarrassed.
With Locker:
Vikings by 3
With Hasselbeck:
Vikings by 28 |

We can win this with McCarthy, Locker, and Britt back.
Especially McCarthy- we're not going to stop a power running offense built around the most talented back in the league with Witherspoon manning the middle.
Locker depends on health- if the shoulder is a big issue, it might be better to let him sit than expose him to Jared Allen et. al. That or we have to put Stevens in on every play to block. Hasselbeck running a full offense vs. Locker running a "protect the QB" offense is about a draw in my mind. If Locker's feeling good then he is definitely needed.
Britt is always a good addition, especially because we'll see less of mr dropsy Damian Williams (I cannot get over this. I really like him as a player but he cannot seem to focus).
Anyways, if all three are out I can't see us winning. McCarthy back gives us a big bump, Locker back gives another one. We'll see. |

If Locker isn't playing I'm honestly not even interested. Will probably find something better to do.
I cannot watch Hasselsuck. The only thing that would make me want to watch in that situation is to root for somehow to get Rusty Smith in. _________________

| The Vikes have struggled with the underneath passing game and getting off the field on third down. They have played the deep ball exceptionally and havent given up many big plays down field. My question is, how is the Titans underneath passing game? Calvin Johnson only had 5 catches for 55 yards against the Vikes and they effectively took him out of his element by eliminating the big play. Burleson and Johnson both had productive games underneath though. Same story with the Colts and 49ers games. There just hasnt been much attacking the Vikes downfield, but teams can move the ball via an effective, efficient and methodical underneath passing attack. |

Our passing game with Locker seems predicated around lots of quick, short passes. Since our running game is (was? who even knows) a mess, this essentially serves as a running game, and we punctuate it with strategic shots downfield.
With Hasselbeck it's "dink and dunk and hope to god he doesn't do anything mind-blowingly stupid, then realize this hope is futile and watch as he proceeds to do hand the other team 17 points." Yup, sounds about right. _________________

I agree. I hope that doesn't make us bad fans .
I had this game marked as a win before the season started and now with the way both teams are playing, it looks a lot less likely. Want to see Locker have another solid outing (if he plays). He has to show he can string together a couple of good performances and not be hot and cold.
Also hope Jerry Gray finds his manhood and decides to blitz more than 4-5 times in this game. |

Yes.....Yes it does make you bad fans...lol
Gotta check out at least the first quarter.
Still can be a win.
Comment was made on local radio, the Vikings are basically what we were last year.
Good win against a good team (49ers) us (Baltimore). But they also beat the Lions and Jags. Two teams I think we could go well against too.
This hopefully will be our first evenly matched game. Where we don't have to play perfect to win. _________________ "I'm not locked in here with you. You locked in here with ME!" |
