McKenzie went out on a limb getting Dennis Allen as HC and he has not shown anything thus far. Much of the blame has been on the OC but at what point is DA on the hot seat? If this team continues to be beyond awful, do we really need to keep him for next year? Or would firing him be giving up on a coach too early yet again in the revolving door of coaches that is Oakland?
If this season turns out really bad (4-12 or worse), are we still married to Dennis Allen and his staff? |

Allen isn't going anywhere at season's end. These aren't the days of Al Davis. Knapp, maybe. But not Allen.
Looks to me like he needs more talent out there on defense and needs to improve on gameplanning. _________________

DA is not the problem. If you look hard enough, we have seen positive changes on defense and on the team overall. The mistake was Greg Knapp.
We have given him 4 weeks, and a off season. Change needs to be made. |

We definitely will keep him. This isn't the Al Davis era anymore so we will keep continuity going. Allen has seemingly fixed the discipline part of the team. We're good on penalties, but as far a defensive performance is concerned, we are void of talent. We have 0 difference makers and it's not even funny. These guys are terrible collectively. Ugh, this is going to be a tough year. Sigh _________________

Good god, no... just no. This is a rebuilding team. We have some talent at positions, but lack serious depth and playmakers. Realistic fans knew this season that this team does not have to much potential. DA has done a good job imo. Our number one problem last year was penalties. He has done an EXCELLENT job of fixing that problem. That is what a real head coach does, something we have lacked for ages. He is a good motivator, excellent communicator and very bright on the defensive side of the ball.
We will get better with time. We have to be patient though. Reggie and Dennis know the weaknesses in this team, and will be very active this offseason. Dennis will get all of this year, and next imo. If there is no improvement throughout the next 2 years, then he will be on the hot seat. But for now the blame is not on him. _________________ First jersey purchased: Jamarcus Russell.

Da will remain here for his whole contract and he should.
This is a team that has very little cap room and next to no depth. We lack playmakers on the defensive side of the ball and our best olineman has regressed in both pass pro and run blocking. At some point the scheme has to be blamed, but given time I think we can see success in the ZBS, I haven't had an issue with the play calling like some people. |

I like DA. Don't like that he hired Knapp. _________________

Do you enjoy our team losing or something? You seem to love saying I told you so more than celebrating victories. _________________

The mistake was Al Davis' mistake. You can't go into an offseason with 2 draft picks and no cap room. Yes, even though we got 3 compensatory selections, the fact is that we had only 2 of our own 7 draft picks. Wrap your head around that.
No GM or HC can make over a team without the means to do so. And that means money, or picks, or both. |

Well then your solution seems simple. Don't read most of the posts.
Because it isn't just me. And fans have the right to be unhappy with the way things are right now. For a team so 'devoid of talent', last year we were competitive in most games. This year it seriously has been "Will Palmer be able to pull this one out of his butt for us?". There's reason to be unhappy. _________________

Not sure how anyone could say that. It's inconclusive either way at the moment. _________________
