Man the Pats don't look like the Pats of old, headed towards 1-3.
EDIT: Tied up good ole Buffalo.
Also the Jets are dropping like flies, Holmes just went down with a non-contract injury to his knee, doesnt look good.. _________________

WOW. Carolina downs the punt inside the 1 and Atlanta goes 60 yards in 59 sec to kick the game winning FG. _________________

Santonio Holmes might have an ACL injury. That could be huge for next week's MNF game. No Revis and now no Holmes. That's their best offensive and defensive players. _________________

Ya and did anyone hear what McKnight had to say about getting moved to CB? He's not happy. _________________

Apparently it is a foot injury. Not an ACL _________________

Bills fans are starting to trip about Mario on twitter.
He only had 2 tackles today against the Patriots, and 1.5 sacks on the season. _________________

I feel the MNF game is the debut of Tebow as the starter...which worries me a bit, as we can't stop the run that well so far. If the Jets go with a big run game anchored by Tebow, they have a chance at beating us. _________________

I wouldn't worry about it. While the run D hasn't been great, it hasn't been bad, and the Jets will have to pass when they get behind. Also, the Jets are 30th in the league in rushing yards per attempt. Tebow could help with that, but there's still a long way to go just to become an adequate rushing attack. _________________

Without question, the "cherry on top" after the Texans game was the "live look in" on the Bills/Patriots with the commentators almost on cue trashing Mario Williams and the entire Bills line. I said it the second they pieced together that front 7 that any OC with 1/2 a brain would see that they merely replicated the Eagles poor tackling mess from last year and that you would be able to run all day on that group of edge pass rushing specialists that would never get anyone to 3rd and long to cash in on their investment. Remember, they played NYJ, KC, Cleve before New England so it's not like they had even gone up against elite offenses yet and won't the next 3 weeks vs. SF, Arizona, and Tenn, but you've got to figure when New England has two running backs go off for 100 yards on them, the book is officially out on them.
Better still, just as I maintained his entire tenure here, Mario disappears in the biggest games against all but the worst LTs and all they have done is give up 100 points in two games against division rivals Jets and Pats. His problem was never one of talent or skill, it was heart, and his lack of it was on full display as some UDFA named Brandon Bolden made a mockery of their $100 million investment in the 2nd half. I wonder what Mario's excuse was this week with no refs to blame? I don't think Mario is going to find the go-to apologists in the Buffalo press that he had here in Houston that always brought up some injury weeks after another disappearing act to rationalize it or blame it on the rest of the line or the secondary. Texan media and fans may have been fooled by his stat padding against teams like the Browns and blind to how easily he was schemed around by the good offenses, but that $100 million paycheck is going to finally shine the spotlight on the limitations of one of the game's most overrated players. In other news, anyone miss Brisiel, Dreessen, or J. Allen either? _________________

Doubtful. Sanchez has had success against the Texans, they are still tied for 1st at 2-2, and Ryan knows that there is no getting the Tebow cork back in the bottle once he pulls it, especially with $58 million reasons not to give up on Sanchez this soon. I expect to see more of Tebow in the next few weeks, but he isn't cracking the starting lineup until the Jets are fully cooked which I place after their bye vs. Seattle or the week after against St. Louis. At the very least, he would wait until going to New England in 3 weeks to pull the rip cord on Tebow instead of showing those cards before he gets to Belichick. Nobody will expect them to win this week and nobody will expect them to lose at home to the Colts the next week. _________________

Against Jacksonville or Indy with a 21 point lead.
We'll never know, but I remain convinced that this defense would never have reached its potential until Mario cleared out his locker and made way for Cushing, Antonio, Barwin, Watt, Reed, and Joseph to become the heart and soul of a defense that has had a consistent fire vs. Mario who shot his wad the first month of so many seasons. I look back to the Packers of 2009 with vets like Nick Barnett, Al Harris, and Aaron Kampman as holdovers from the old regime while their absence in 2010 elevated Clay Matthews, BJ Raji, and Tramon Williams who fully embraced the new system and had better skill sets for it. Despite the hype, Mario never put together a two game stretch as dominant as JJ's start, better yet 4 and we never get to this point if his job is to soak up blocks so Mario can run around the edge and never finish. _________________
