Michael Buchanan has been very dissapointing today so far especially against a week team like PSU.
Doesn't Rambo makes his first start of the season today for you Rambo fans?
Can't wait for the later games bc the noon games are duds right now.
3:30 Georgia on CBS for Jarvis Jones and Bacarri Rambo
7:00 LSU on ESPNU for Montgomery and Mingo
7:50 Texas on Fox for Okafor, Jeffcoat and Vaccaro
10:30 Oregon on ESPN2 for Dion Jordan _________________

Watching Kent St vs Ball St right now...
Dri Archer (Jr - RB/WR, Kent St) looks like a great project player. He has scored a touchdown as a RB, WR, and KR (98 & 99yd tds) this season. He has incredible speed and next level agility.
8 carries, 72 yards; 3 rec, 104 yds, 2 TDs; 174 ret yds, 1 TD
Keith Wenning (Jr - QB, Ball St) is a well-rounded QB -- likely a mid to late round guy. He has plenty of arm, with nice touch on the deep ball. He has been making great reads and has a good feel for the timing routes. Handles the no huddle well, and is very smart in the 2-minute.
32/42, 445 yds, 5 TDs, 0 Int
Roosevelt Nix (Jr - DT/DE, Kent St) is an interesting prospect as well. Easily the biggest individual threat on Kent's D. Undersized at 5'11" 245lbs, he uses his smarts, quickness, and leverage to beat the bigger OL consistently -- even though he gets doubled no matter where he lines up. He always seems to come up big when needed.
8 tkls (3 tfl), 1 sack, 2 FF

I want to watch TCU vs SMU tonight. For some reason I like Casey Pachall (yes I know I am a QBaholic but I like watching good QB Play).
Also Dowling (WKU) and Slay (MS State) may be able to play some safety (both have decent size to be FS).
Then there is Bjoern Werner of FSU. Damontre Moore of TXAM and Cornellius Carradine of FSU as well who are sack machines...
The for LBs there is Manti Te'o (ND), Kiko Alonso (Oregon) _________________ “From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renenwed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.” -- J R R Tolkien LOTR |

Someone has to say it, so I will bite the bullet....
Geno Smith, QB, WVU
Note- That does not mean I think we should or will, but a new owner has no ties to anything and he may want a star QB playmaker. _________________

I'm going to try and watch it too. tOSU game is my must watch today.
BTW I feel Weeden is going to be pretty good for us. I'm starting to see nice flashes. An ability to carry a team on his back type play. But we will need to get a developmental type Qb pretty soon. Pachall may fit that bill. And yes I'm a QB junkie myself. I suppose that comes with not having one since our return. Except maybe Couch. _________________

Didn't realize Oregon was playing Washington State. I've talked about him before and tonight will be the best offense he faces all year. Take a look at DE/LB Travis Long from Wash St. _________________

Gino Smith had the GOAT statistical game today. 8 TDs and almost 700 passing yards in a 70-63 win against a ranked team. 45/51 passing.
If we finish with the worst overall record this kid may be too good to pass up. _________________

What if Brandon Weeden plays great going down the stretch and Gino gets as much hype as RG3 and blows up the combine just like him? Some team is going to come calling and offer up a deal similar or better than the Rams got. I don't see how you don't take that kind of a deal to move down a few spots.
We won't get #1 overall anyway because we're going to win 6 games _________________

I agree with you that we will win around 6 games. If Brandon Weede plays great down the stretch and we still have the worst record its an easy soliution - trade Weeden and take Smith (assuming Smith appears to be an NFL MVP caliber talent).
I'd much rather take one of the best quarterback prospects of the last 5 years over a package to take worse players at less important positions. _________________

If Nathan Williams of Ohio State checks out medically after microfracture knee surgery, he should be a 3rd or 4th rounder.
Great instincts in space as well as good quickness off the edge. Having a great day today and showing off his ability to read a play as it develops. |

I think we've got a lot of legit NFL talents on this team. _________________

At least a dozen right now, but probably more considering Urban's recruiting history.
Just saw Will Gholston get his brains scrambled by his own teammate. Doesn't look like we'll be seeing any more of him today. |
