Only Michael Griffin has been a worst safety this year than Charles Godfrey in terms of the stats.
On the plus side..
Among Top 5 4-3 DE in Stop %, only Jason Babin has a higher PRP (Pass Rushing Productivity) rating than Greg Hardy. _________________

I wonder if there is a minimum number of stats to qualify as I believe Alexander has looked better than Hardy. _________________

PFF has graded Godfrey as a -4.2 through 3 games, which is the 2nd worst only behing Michael Griffin.
Luke Kuechly is a appauling -9.1 through 3 games. PFF says this about Luke and the other LB's..
| Quote: | | He has really struggled to shed blocks efficiently or make plays close to the line of scrimmage, and can look entirely lost in coverage at times. Meanwhile his veteran colleagues, Jon Beason and James Anderson, have missed a combined seven tackles through the first four weeks of the season. The Panthers are ensuring that their best group of defenders get plenty of snaps–Kuechly’s tally of 51 snaps was the lowest among the trio last night–but simply put, they aren’t leading this defense right now in the manner they should be. |

under no circumstances should PFF's +/- grades be taken seriously. _________________

| Not that I put much stock in PFF's actually grade ratings but Kuechly hasn't been much of an impact player and has struggled shedding blocks. I still think he's capable of becoming a great player but he needs to be on a defense where the defensive line is fully capable of keeping the offensive lineman off of him. |

He seems to be great so far playing uphill (pursuit, getting to the ball after its downfield), but very poor playing downhill (at the line of scrimmage, making splash plays). _________________

I'm not surprised, we look pretty terrible defensively. _________________
