Well, this pretty much is they NFL saying the travesty Monday night was enough and they know they couldn't do it for another week. And not even just the last call, the whole game was bad. I guarantee there will still be plenty of awful calls, just no excuses now. _________________

Yay! Now the bad calls will end!
Oh wait. Those happened last year as well. _________________

Yup, except now they don't have the replacement officials as scapegoats. _________________

The calls (or lack thereof in many cases) have been so much worse this year, IMO. _________________ Football is love, love is life. |

I don't think the calls have been that much worse, but there have been some unspeakably embarrassing circumstances that simply shouldn't happen. (Spotting a ball 15 yards away, signaling a ball down in the field of play, then placing it at the 20 for a touch back, and throwing a hat unnecessarily in the field of play, at a receivers feet, which leads to him falling on a route... that type of stuff.)
That hat thing was the worst situation this season, hands down. The SEA-GB call was a split-second judgement call supported by a regular replay official. The missed OPI is something that happens with the regular refs. Throwing a hat in the path of a receiver for absolutely no reason that leads to him falling on a route? Pathetic. _________________

No doubt. But for every bad call you can name this season, I can two for last season by the "real" refs. |

I'm just glad that this guy is back
... and that I can once again laugh at his poses when he makes calls. _________________
