Should be either Burton or Jenkins. |
I don't see a roster move having been made yet. They have until Thursday afternoon to make a roster move as there is a 3-day roster exemption for Simpson. _________________

Quote: | WR Jerome Simpson returned to practice on Wednesday after his three-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy, and he was back to jumping over chalk lines and doing his usual dance of exuberance while playing the game he loves.
“It was great," he said. "I was like a kid in a candy store. It was great to be out there running actual plays with the quarterback and trying to get my timing back.” |
Quote: | By Thursday at 3 p.m., GM Rick Spielman will have to make a roster move to accommodate Simpson's return, but the Vikings aren't likely to do anything much sooner than that. |

Burton is my bet. A wide-out for a wide-out. _________________

If Wright was fully healthy in the previous games, and we have AJ Jeff do some reps at PR, I would not have a problem letting Marcus Sherels go.
But given the above has not transpired, I would think Marcus is safe.
My bet would be Burton _________________

Per everyone on Twitter, Allen Reisner was released to make room for Simpson. _________________ From the fool’s gold mouthpiece the hollow horn,

Doesn't mean much IMO. Reisner hasn't played a snap yet. Pretty much expected. _________________

I can live with one less TE. Given that MN has found a pretty reliable FB in Jerome Felton, there isnt much use for 4 TEs at this point. Reisner is still eligible for the practice squad, I believe.
So the Vikes now have 6 WRs. Simpson, Harvin, Aromashodu, and Jenkins should all be active. That leaves Burton and Wright as the two odd men out, though I would rather see Wright get reps as the #4 over Jenkins. |

I was hoping it wasn't Resiner solely because I played against him in high school |

Frazier: "Two P.I.'s, there was great field position. The catch he made late in the game when we were trying to get first downs and take time off the clock. His impact was felt today in our first time having him. It was very good, and we think the fact that he's part of our offense right now should open up some things farther in the future. He definitely had an impact in his first game."
Simpson: "The time that I had to sit out just made me a little hungrier and made me appreciate this game."
His original suspension was for four games but was cut to three. However, he's still being fined through the first four. So next week he'll receive a paycheck for the first time. What more could a guy ask for?
"And next week I get paid," he said with a laugh.

Harvin: "You could see from the play he made on the ball at the end that he'll definitely give us that guy who can stretch the field and make the tough catch. This was only his first game, so we're only seeing the beginning of what he can do for this offense."

I don't know that Simpson is the answer as a deep threat, but he certainly opened things up more for Ponder than having Jenkins run those routes. He can make a better play on the ball, but against a better secondary not sure if he would have gotten as many pass interference. _________________
