That's a reasonable price too. $4M per year average, not to exceed $4.67M. I'll take it.
now just stay healthy, Malcom! _________________

Not bad. Nice signing for the Chargers. _________________

With Vincent Jackson gone, he's arguably their best receiver so they needed to lock him up. Got him for a bargain price too. Should see fairly good production over the course of his contract.
My main problem with him is he is more of a complementary receiver rather than a #1 guy. Chargers still need to find the successor to Vincent Jackson. _________________ With much cheese,

| Bad news for Chargers fans, now they're gonna release him after the season. It seems teams ALWAYS do this after giving an extension. . . |

Good decision on San Diego's part. I've always felt that Floyd was a pretty underrated receiver. _________________ Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee

How much have you actually seen him play? Floyd has low-to-mid-end #1 ability the knock on him is that he hasn't played a full 16 game season in his career; he's particularly capable of being a 1b option which is the highest any WR is going to ascend while Antonio Gates is on this team.
Maybe a subject for a different topic, but I think the notion of a "true #1 WR" has gotten horribly skewed these days along with the "necessity" for teams with great QB's have one. _________________

I agree. I picked him up in our Steelers FFMD, as well as FF. He's been money. I knew once VJax was gone, Floyd would shine, so long as he stayed healthy. Meachem won't ever command the same attention that VJax does, so eventually, the rest of the league will figure that out, but he still has pretty darn good talent, great hands, and size. You guys got a great deal, IMO. He's easily a 1200-1400yd, 16-18 YPC, 10-12 TD guy. What more could you want from a #1 WR. Health has been his only holdup. _________________
