I was really enjoying the balanced offensive attack. Now I imagine we'll see more teams throwing the ball 50 times and running it 15. _________________

I can deal with the bad calls every now and then, but just plain not understanding the rules, not understanding procedures, that's what really bothers me. There have been games where the refs spend up to 5 minutes trying to get a call sorted out. That's inexcusable. |
if the NFL was able to get the best refs available from the 2nd teir (D1 college football) there wouldn't have been any problem at all. But they are all under contract. The biggest problems is that they had to get cast off from the cast off leagues. _________________

Ponder, on the replacement refs: "The thing is, the replacement guys were put in such a tough situation. They're doing the best they can and you can't blame them for anything. They're busting their butts to do it. Even when the regular guys come back, they're going to make mistakes as well. So I feel bad for them. They're doing a lot of hard work. I appreciate what they're doing. It's worked. We're playing games. We're playing on the field. It's something that's out of our control and we can't worry about."
And, finally, this one will really sting for the Cheeseheads. Ponder also was asked if he felt bad for the Packers.
"No," he said. "No, I don't."

Even when the Packers miss the playoffs by 1 game, I won't feel bad for them. _________________
