William Moore Free Safety
6'0" 221lbs Exp: 4 yrs - Falcons
It is fairly obvious that we need Safety help. I am still confident that Stewart is an NFL player, he just needs to get fully healthy and integrated into the defense. We know he is smart, as he ran the secondary for Spags D in his first real time playing, He just needs to get back out there. Dahl will be a free agent, and if anything in this world is just we will let him walk right down to New Orleans. And Mikell, who has struggled in this scheme thus far, is a very strong candidate to be cut. Do you guys realize we are paying him $10 million this year? And he just turned 32? With a base salary of $6mil in '13 and $7mil for '14 and only $2mil left of his signing bonus, He would be a smart Cut.

But that is all the perfect storm for what is a pretty decent Safety class, both in Free Agency and in the Draft. Willie Mo is the perfect guy to complete this secondary. He is the ascending player that we have been targeting, he fits well into this system as Atlanta's is similar, and Most of all, his attitude fits right in with what we are trying to build on that side of the ball. As a Missouri boy, born and bred, he has said things about coming back home, and this would be the perfect match. The size and stuffing ability to come up and play some LB, with the speed and range to cover guys down the seam and in the deep Zone.

Tommy Kelly Defensive Tackle
6'6" 325lbs Exp: 9 yrs - Raiders
I brought up Kelly during the pre-season as a guy to watch out for if he gets cut. And here is the same scenario. The Raiders are pretty cash strapped, and Kelly is a rotational guy for them. They could save somewhere north of $4mil if they cut Kelly after the year. He is a guy who Mike Waufle molded into a much better DT than he was when the Raiders overpaid him, and as we have seen recently how desperate we are for DT depth. Trevor Laws would be really nice to have out there right now, and Im sorry but Cudjo is nothing more than a #5 DT in a sub-par rotation.

Kelly could bring in a decent guy for the DT rotation, a guy who can break down the pocket, and rush the passer some. He is getting older and he doesnt have the legs to be a major cog anymore. But as a guy who Waufle trusts, who can do alot of things, (even be a plugger when called upon) he could be really nice to have on a decent/short contract.

Will Svitek Offensive Tackle
6'6" 309lbs Exp: 8 yrs - Falcons
Svitek is a journeyman lineman who Falcons fans had been clamoring for to be one of their OTs for 2 season now. Unfortunately he got hurt this preseason and isnt able to replace Sam Baker. But it was coach Bou who "coached 'em up" to this guy many are intrigued by. He has been in the league awhile now so he isnt really a guy who is a anchor to an OLine, and Sam baker had been so bad, it didnt take much for ATL fans to be clamoring for someone else.

We need to address the Depth along the OL as well as find a good Starter for RT (at the very least for the starting OL). But Richardson will be a FA, and itís unlikely that we keep Wayne Hunter's massive contract on the books past this season. He could restructure, but I would be he tries to find a bigger role somewhere else. Svitek is the perfect guy to bring in that can backup at both OT sports and make everyone feel better about an injury situation.

Danny Amendola Wideout
5'11" 188lbs Exp: 4 yrs - Rams
We all know everyone wants to keep him, He is Sam's safety blanket right now, but Sam has also shown the ability to quickly adapt to other weapons (Gibson, Pettis, DX, etc.) so I think that fear is a bit overblown. But I do understand the concern and keeping the right guys around Sam is key. We wont be cheap with him, but we arent going to back a dump truck to his house either. Danny is integral to this offense and they all know that, and as of right now I would be he is in Horns next year and beyond. Gibson and Smith are both lilkely gone, so there will be new blood infused to the system, but continuity is also important to keeping Sams and this offenses progression moving.

Bradley Fletcher Cornerback
6'0" 200lbs Exp: 4 yrs - Rams
We can all see how much of a passing league it has become (even though the Rams are behind that curve) and it has been becoming more apparent that you dont just need 2 starting CBs on an NFL Roster. You need 3 guys who can be out there at all times as defenses are mostly in Nickle personnel. Its almost a base defense at this point. Some get frustrated with Fletcher dropping potential INTs, I will never understand that, but he is one heck of a cover man (he shut down Calvin while he was matched up with him). I know they drafted Trumain also, but if you can get Fletcher back on a reasonable deal (could get a team breaking the bank for him) then we need to try and keep him here building a shutdown secondary.

Robert Turner Center
6'4" 308lbs Exp: 4 yrs - Falcons
Turner has been a great surprise for this team. Most offenses just fall apart when their Center goes down, but having a great (and I do mean great) backup Center has held everything together. Paul Boudreau can work magic with guards to plug in, and even help out Waybe Hunter & Barry ichardson, but if you dont have a Center the entire Line falls apart. He is also a nice guy to have as a potential Backup Guard. Good, Versatile Depth, thats what this line needs (Other than a RT)

1)Jarvis Jones Linebacker
6'2" 240lbs - Georgia Bulldogs
As you will see with these pick, I think we will end up with 2 Top 10-12 picks. I think both the Rams & Skins absolute ceilings are at 6 wins for this season. I actually think one ends up being a Top 5/6 pick. And of the options I see there, Jones is the best player and the best option for us. I used this picture for a reason, because most around here probably saw the terror that Jones was off the edge against the Tigers. We know the guy can rush the passer, and all the sudden a Scary pass rush turns into a Deadly one. But I have been impressed so far this year, the steps he made in his take on ability at the LOS, how his run defense is looking better and isnt just a guy you let off the leash on 3rd & Long. I very much see Jones with the ability to be a Von Miller type of SLB for us and complete a very nice LB corps. Imagine some 3rd downs and we shift to an amoeba 3-4 look. Long - Brockers - Langford as your front with Jones and Quin as the Standup Rush Backers. Gross.

I know many really want a WR with this pick, I get it, I really do. But I think some team completely reaches for Justin Hunter and his AJ Green prototype measurables, & the potential that he can be a Calvin type.

1)Keenan Allen Wideout
6'3" 202lbs - California Golden Bears
Here is the guy who I think can be the best all around receiver in this Class. He doesnt have the crazy Calvin body type, but he has good size and frame with good/not great speed. He isnt a guy who will consistently take the top off, but I love just about everything else about him. His Route Running is very good, needs improvement, but you can see he doesnt the little things right. He has very good/strong hands and great body control. And while he wont be going deep a tone, he can win most jump balls when they are out there. The most enticing part of his game is his after the catch ability. He has amazing moves in the open field and is great at improvising to get the extra yards. Having the big bodied Quick on the other side and Danny in the Slot, all the sudden this WR corps looks 1000x better than 2011.

2)D.J. Fluker Offensive Tackle
6'6" 335lbs - Alabama Crimson Tide
Yes, the OL. It does need to be addressed, but The 1st round pick isnt that likely unless someone just amazes, and right now there isnt a guy like that. Not to mention They dont go after 1st round O-linemen. Its a real thing and those of you who keep deciding to ignore it will likely be disappointed come draft day. But, they do seem to find very good guys in the 2nd & 3rd rounds, especially their type of guys, who fit their system. DJ Fluker was getting a TON of Hype just a few months ago, but once games started, it was prety obvious he didnt deserve that Top of the Draft Ranking most were giving him. He is still a very good player, but he needs to be a RT in a Run heavy scheme. Wouldnt ya know it, thats exactly what we need. Fluker could slide that massive body right next to the nasty Harey Dahl and form a bulldozer on the right side. And just think if Rok ever takes over at RG, that is a HUGE side of the Line. HE has all the talent to be a dominant RT, he just needs better technique and execution, and thats why we have Bou.

4)Larry Warford Guard
6'3" 335lbs - Kentucky Wildcats
We continue to build the OL and create impressive depth by picking the other War-hog (the first being Chance Warmack). I see this front office and coaches finding their specific type of lineman that will fit the offense they want to Run. Run, that is what they want to do, they want to control the LOS and just wear down defenses. And the type of Lineman they want for that are likely in the Rok mold. Massive men, who are surprisingly spry and lite on their feet. While Warford has played RG almost his whole career, I see with a bit more training (losing some weight) and coaching that he could be one hell of a LG. He is a better Guard that Rok, who would be religated to the Swing Guard spot, and eventually take over for Harvey. I see alot of Larry Allen in Warford's game, just think about having a guy like that.
Saffold-Warford-Wells-Dahl-Fluker - That is a MASSIVE line, and with Turner, Svitek, and Watkins as your key backups we are stocked.

4)Stedman Bailey Wideout
5'11" 195lbs - West Virginia Mountaineers
We should really draft him based on his name alone. HonestlyStedman might be my favorite WR prospect in this draft. He runs amazing routes, very crisp, very clean. The guy knows how to get open. He also has very good hands, these two make him a very reliable option for a QB. That should be good enough, but he has an impressive go-get-it ability and is surprisingly strong with the ball after the catch. But what I like most about him, he is a very smart football player. His on field IQ looks great at this point, and to top it all off he is a nice blocker on the outside. He would make a nice compliment to the Receiving Corps, walking in day one as the #4 option. (Allen/Quick as starters, Danny in the slot, Steadman as #4 at any of the spots, Givens as your specialty deep threat, and Pettis as your reliable backup)

5)Abry Jones Defensive Tackle
6'4" 304lbs - Georgia Bulldogs
I have been on Abry since the preseason last year, He doesnt get a whole lot of recognition with all the talent that Gerogia has, but he is a very good Down Lineman in one of the best defenses in the country. He is very workman like, does every part of his job very well. I think he could be one heck of a rotational DT, a guy who can anchor against the run, and push the pocket if he has to. Like I said, nothing flashy, but a guy who I would love to have with Kelly to backup Brockers and Langford.

6)John Boyett Safety
5'10" 205lbs - Oregon Duck
Boyett is not your best looking safety prospect, heck his game doesnt even translate great to the NFL right now, but his Instincts and Recognition Ability along with the attitude he brings on the field deserves an NFL spot. He doesnt have great range but its good enough, its mostly the explosive speed and measurables he is missing. But in a system where he is already back in a deep zone his recognition & instincts should be able to make up for his shortcomings. He is also good at diagnosing the run, and getting up to stuff it. Would be a nice 3rd Safety for an already impressive secondary

If this happens ill [inappropriate/removed] my pants. Love it. I was actually just discussing with a friend the other night on the possibility of a Willy Mo signing, praying they do.

I really do hope we resign fletcher. He has been playing very well this season (i think it was him that almost let marshal get that td but aside from that he has been great) and I hope he remains a ram.

i havvent had a chance to watch much college football this year other then the first two weeks but I like the positions that were drafted.

I'd be pumped. We would be gaining2 defensive starters and potentially 3 offensive starters from an off-season.

Your a man after my own heart. I just posted pretty much the same scenerio in the Thread "Mock". Albeit you have a pick of Decoud up for Willy Mo Laughing I would love that pick up. Just curious as to where you heard he was itching to get back home?

Also agree that we will definately make a push for a OT in free agency as well.

Just like in my draft, I love the Jarvis Jones pick. As you said, I can just see how Fisher would craft that scary plethera of pass rush specialist.

The second 1st rounder in your draft is slightly different from mine, as i had us picking up a WR and not a S in free agency. I had us grabbing Eric Reid with that pick. But if the scenerio you painted comes to light, I would be all over Allen with our 2nd 1st rounder.

I also love the Fluker pick. I'm not quite sure he has the feet or quickness to keep up with NFL LEs but even if thats the case, he's still worth a 2nd rounder as a potential pro bowl calibur guard.

Good job Lunatic

I wanted Mo so bad his JR year IIRC.
Then he lost some money going back to
college. Was a huge fan of him.

Him+Amendola+Fletch==== Home Run IMO.

Plus we already have Long and James locked up..

With Finnegan and JJ.. That is a scary looking D.

Lunatic and other draft lovers, what are your thoughts on DE Michael Buchannon from Illinois?

Do you think he sticks in a 4-3 at end or better suited in a 3-4 on the outside? If he has a strong year, do you think he is a 1st rounder? If so, how high do you think he goes? If not, where do you see him going?

He'll end up in a 3-4 imo. Could easily end up in the 1st round.

As for the mock, I like it. Very solid. I'd go with Kevin Matthews over DJ Fluker though.

I always liked Moore since the days he played at Mizzou.

If we do end up resigning Fletcher, do you guys think they may try to move Trumaine Johnson to Safety?

Haha, I liked the picture so much that I hadnt even realized it wasnt Mo. I switched it up now. And as him coming back home, It wasnt anything like its a major factor in where he would go, he has just said it would be cool to play football in Missouri again.

I still think he can hang, he shows flashes of it, and if he can be taught to use his natural size as a weapon, instead of trying to fight through it, Its going to be hard for LEs to get around him. Ive watched him make one arm blocks, he is so massive and strong that I think he can stick out there (much like Phil Loadholt has done)

Yea, like I said above, I still see more in Fluker than most. But I think that 2nd rounder is where we go grab that RT for us.

Yes, I know. Thats why I have him all the way down in the 6th rounder. he has already said he has every intention of entering the 2013 draft. He would be a good buy low, high upside guy for where he will be picked.

Nope, Especially not if we add a Safety in Free agency or the Draft as well. You need a bunch of CBs, and if we are sitting 4 deep in talent then we wont have to worry about that spot for awhile. He might see some time at Safety, as maybe an emergency backup guy, but he seems like he will be a CB for us regardless.

I don't know if we need another wideout after Allen, I think we could pick something else up there.

X2

There is alot of talent at OT/OL and Safety in this draft in the first 2 rounds. I love Keenan Allen, doesnt get enough talk about him in the pac 12 with woods and lee at SC.

I love it, obviously I doubt it happens but I would love it especially the Stedman Bailey. I love Bailey as a prospect but it's probably because I have watched every game of his the past couple years.
