James Sanders’ 93-yard fumble return for a touchdown last Sunday made Cardinals fans deliriously happy because it gave the team a 24-0 lead over the Eagles at halftime. It should give them other reasons for joy, too, because that one play showed that General Manager Rod Graves and staff are re-signing the right players.
Linebacker Daryl Washington, who signed a new six-year contract this month, sprinted from the end zone to the Eagles 40-yard line to throw the one block Sanders needed to score. Defensive ends Darnell Dockett (re-signed in 2010) and Calais Campbell (re-signed in May) helped form a convoy for as long as they could keep pace with Washington and Sanders. Receiver Larry Fitzgerald (re-signed in 2011) sprinted to the end zone from the sideline to celebrate with Sanders.
From lottery winners to professional athletes, new millionaires are always judged on what they do after the money is deposited. Money hasn’t changed the players the Cardinals have paid in recent years.
“People want to see their money at work, let’s be honest,” defensive end Nick Eason said.
Cardinals fans are seeing that.

You're damn right we're seeing it. We're drafting much better and we're locking up our core players. It's literally THE recipe for long term success. Keep it up Rod!!! _________________
