Retweeted by Cork, originally by BradBiggs. Interesting. |
He signed with the Redskins. _________________

I hope i dont eat my words later but you guys wont be disappointed. He should be a lock on next years roster as well. |
Love So'oto. Got to see a lot of him at BYU. He has serious potential. He was a DE at BYU, but changed positions something like 2-3 times. Lost 2 seasons to injury.
This is a nice pickup. Didn't know he was a street FA. Excited to have him in Oakland. _________________

Apparently we've also signed WR Tori Gurley
https://twitter.com/TGurley81/status/250761693355966466
Good size - 6'4 230. Signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2011 & then made it to the Vikings practice squad.
DA mentioned he would look at the WR's out there after DHB's neck injury. I assume this is that guy. _________________

Gurley is solid too:
| Quote: |
PRO:
-frame
-natural hands
-teams play
-ability to point AND play it over the shoulder
-raw red zone skills
-tough
-age
-solid long speed for size
-willing and able as blocker
-possible position backup plan
CON:
-RAC skills
-can read in and out of breaks
-issues at press
-not sudden/quick twitch
-issues catching anything below the waist
-body control
Man has clear cut skill set flaws in the Packers system. Work with him at press though and you might have a stud in the red zone that can also play the long ball. That's not a cheap combo and one that's worth the investment. Better the further he gets down field right now. Anything but a plus in the Packers fit but could bring gameday value as is for the Vikes for a host of reasons. His short tree skills just did not work in Green Bay and his lack of RAC ability killed his upside. Find him the right home and work with him at the line and ya might have a player. If he fails, might be worth a look as a movement TE. |

I remember a couple teams tried to sign this guy to their active roster last year. He opted to stay on GB's PS in hopes he would get a spot the next year primarily because some of the guys were getting old. They payed him higher salary also after he decided that. This season Driver didnt leave so he went to MIN practice squad instead. Probably release Francies in his place. |

Got to see Gurley in offseason. Good hands along with his height. Did see him have trouble with lower passes and getting off press.
Can't see him making a big impact off the bat but his size is welcome in the red zone. _________________

Congrats on the new Raiders! Was a pretty big fan of the three former Packers. _________________
