Previous Game Recap
Giants
| Associated Press via NFL.com wrote: | Eli Manning didn't need a big comeback Thursday night, not with Andre Brown running for a career-high 113 yards and two touchdowns in the New York Giants' 36-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Brown got the start in place of Ahmad Bradshaw, who sat out with a neck injury. Ramses Barden caught nine passes for a career-high 138 yards in his first NFL start.
Manning completed 27 of 35 passes for 288 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions.
The defending Super Bowl champion Giants (2-1) were without three starters, but it hardly mattered. New York dominated the first half, scoring on its first four possessions to take a 20-0 halftime lead and outgaining Carolina 303-125.
Cam Newton struggled all night and was pressured into three interceptions. The Panthers (1-2) had five turnovers, including two by returner Joe Adams. |
Eagles
| Quote: | GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Kevin Kolb threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns, and James Sanders returned one of Michael Vick's two fumbles 93 yards for a touchdown as the Arizona Cardinals ran over the Philadelphia Eagles 27-6 on Sunday for their best start in 38 years.
Kolb was sharp, hitting 17 of 24 passes, and Arizona (3-0) sacked Vick five times for its best start since 1974, more than a dozen years before the team moved to the desert. The Cardinals also have won seven consecutive home games, the second-longest streak in franchise history.
Philadelphia (2-1) became the first NFL team to open a season with two one-point wins. The Eagles didn't give themselves a chance to rally for another victory, picked apart by the quarterback they cast away and hounded by the Cardinals' attacking defense.
The Eaglesm, who had the NFL's best offense in the first two games, had three turnovers, running their season total to 12. |
--INJURY UPDATES--
Lamborghini Murcielago Keys to the Game
Giants
-[Eli Manning] - Eli Must continue to play at a high level, he has often throughout his career struggled against the Eagles. He has to play like he has most of the last two years, but less like he does against the Eagles.
-[Pressure] - The Giants through 3 games have 6 sacks. On a pace for 32 this season, are getting to the quarterback far less often so far this season than they did last year.
Eagles
-[Protection] - Everyone is aware that Michael Vick has struggled, but this protection, or lack there of, has completely hindered Michael from being able to do anything that he did in past few seasons.
-[Run Early] - The offense always seems more methodical when we have a balanced play call selection. We can't continue to go 3 and out with 1/3 for 4 yards each drive. Makes it easier for the opponent's defense and the offense continues to get good starting field position.
-[Limit Turnovers] - The most important of all, we have had at least one redzone turnover in each game so far, and it ultimately seems to lead to a 7-10 point swing. Turnovers on our half the field also lead to that trend of good field position for the opponents. The opponents don't have to go very far to punch it in as long as we keep giving it away.
I'll update more later. _________________

So every time on the field, I would say stuff to him like, 'You're a bum. You're the third-best defensive lineman on the defense,' which, I didn't lie. Wait. I did lie. He's the fourth now, so actually I did lie." |

We wore them in week 1 @ CLE for some reason.
Might just be the end of summer heat that caused the home teams to want to get a minimal advantage of wearing white. _________________
