As near as I can tell, he's coming over to swat away a fruit fly that had meandered onto the field of play. It's the only explanation that makes sense.
Amazing acrobatic catch by Nate. Just... wow. |
Just now really paid attention to Wendling. I have no idea what that late swat was....It really does look like a Griffin type play... _________________ Proud member of the DARK SIDE. I've embraced Mike Murlarkey as my Head Coach.

I still cannot wrap my head around actually how that catch by Stevens was overturned. Absolutely unbelievable. _________________

Even though we almost blew the game, overall the win "could" look a lot more impressive when you think about it.
"Take Away" (which we can't, but humor me for a second) the 2 4th quarter TDs. A roughing the passer call, the onside kick, Bironas hits the 2 FGs, and the hail mary. We win by a nice margin.
We would be talking about how they really stepped it up in the 4th to close the deal.
Yes, the run game still sucks.
Pass defense still suspect
but
Locker impressive, pass game impressive, WRs and TE's were impressive.
So I know the salt being thrown is the blowing of the lead, but overall it was a good win.
Hopefully something they can build on. _________________ Proud member of the DARK SIDE. I've embraced Mike Murlarkey as my Head Coach.

Looks like Dawson hurt his hammy Sunday. We're planning on re-signing Egboh. I'm surprised he ever got cut in the first place. |

If Washington hadn't caught that then it would be pass interference, just as a note. Wendling never turned towards the ball and was just face-guarding Nate, which is illegal. Of course, the refs probably wouldn't have called, so thank god Nate is a badass. |

I think you mean Lacey. Wendling was the safety that came over late and tried doing something but wasn't even involved. _________________

Coming home from work today I heard Kuharsky & Co. on 104.5 discussing Ayers' comments from after the game. Apparently he pretty much deflected blame for his dumb penalty near the end of the game and said it takes 22 guys, blah blah blah. Very disappointing to me. Pretty much the opposite of what a leader should say in that situation. |

Yeah....he said something to the way of "no one player can lose a game with one play."
Paul was ripping him for that...
Sometime Paul is negative just to be negative.
However, I can see the angle with what Ayers said. I don't think he meant it that way, but it is what it is...lol _________________ Proud member of the DARK SIDE. I've embraced Mike Murlarkey as my Head Coach.

Yeah I'm not so focused on what Kuharsky said about it. I'm just disappointed that Ayers didn't accept responsibility for doing something really darn stupid and jeopardizing what the team worked so hard for.
Oh well. He's still playing like a beast. |

What's the status of Jared Cook's shoulder??? Did he get his MRI done? Is he OK or injured? I haven't heard anything about him, and he's a pretty big deal to us. _________________ HEALTH STATEMENT: I'm not "fat", just well nutritioned. |

Wyatt reported that Munch said he should be able to practice by the end of the week. |

Did anyone notice that Locker was the first person to meet Jared Cook in the endzone on his TD?
Love this dude. _________________

Some things I've noticed through the replay on NFLN.
Locker has taken a lot off his passes and we are seeing a lot less drops from our receivers. He's still slinging it around but he's not throwing 100mph anymore.
Mike Martz is straight up drooling over Locker.
Britt looks good. So does Stevens.
CJ didn't have as bad of a game as his stats indicate. He had a couple big losses that really skewed his numbers. He actually had a few good runs. I think Palmer is getting use to what CJ is good at.
Morgan was really close to getting a sack several times.
Spoon looks a LOT slower than the other LB's. His play has really declined in coverage.
I really miss McCarthy and his swag on D.
Babs is 10x better at SS than Griff is.
I won't be surprised if our run game gets better once Britt is on the field every down. Not only for his receiving abilities but also his blocking abilities.
Ayers was all over the field. His best game so far minus the two bone head plays at the end of the game.
Mouton and Sensabaugh are both playing over Campbell.
Locker was in the endzone to celebrate during every single touchdown. |
