It doesn't seem like too big of a loss, it seems like Avery has developed good chemistry with Luck, I just feel bad for him, seems like he keeps getting hurt... _________________

For his sake, I really hope he leaves football. The guy is going to end up a vegetable at some point with all these injuries. |

...ouch. Did this to my right knee, arguably the most painful injury I've ever had. I blacked out for a good 30 minutes while heading to the ER, just in the worst pain of my life. It's about an 18 months recovery process, from surgery to rehab and recovery.
Guys have come back from this injury, but it's a LONG road to recovery. _________________

Man he just doesn't seem to get any luck, Although, when it happened he had his hand on the front of his helmet and I was thinking concussion again. |

Agreed. Sadly Football is an addiction/great way to make money. Sad he have end the season like this with the concussion problems. _________________

Yeah.... that's not really how that works.
A lower extremity injury isn't going to make anyone a vegetable. _________________

For what it's worth, he has a history of concussions, including one that made him miss time already this season, and he had just recovered from that concussion to go in and play and get injured again. _________________

I am a really big fan of Collie and wanted him out of BYU on my Falcons.. sadly he has just been injured so often during his career so far. Hope he can right the ship somehow someday.. _________________

Poor guy. He clearly loves the game to keep fighting back, but his luck's gone further south than I can comprehend. I'd wish him a speedy recovery, but ET put that to bed (damn your knees). So I'll just wish him a full recovery. _________________

This may be a blessing in the sense that I would absolutely hate to see this guy get another concussion. Two very bad ones previously, a third this year...and who knows how many before then. Really like the way he plays, but if this injury helps him retire then I would consider it a good thing.
Sometimes luck/chance is not with you, and it clearly is not with A.Collie. I wish him all the best, and I would not be surprised if he comes back considering the mental strength he has already demonstrated. |
