How often have their safeties been dropping back to protect against the long ball?
Obviously, Tannehill's arm strength is not a question, the dude can gun it. But if our receivers don't have those safeties scared, they are going to guard against the short routes, making it more difficult for Tannehill to find a receiver in space. Defenses would be in redzone-mode.
This topic is not about pointing the finger at receivers, it's moreso about pointing the finger at a scheme that has not yet had enough opportunities to dictate how defenses prepare for us.
Armstrong has that speed to get deep, and Hartline has made several deep catches in his career. Granted, comparing Tannehill to Rodgers is a waste of time, but compare the number of deep attempts that Rodgers made per game with the number that Tannehill makes. _________________

That does make a lot of sense. Green Bay usually throws short to intermediate routes and once the defense starts cheating up, they start attacking deep. _________________
