I will say I have been very pleased with Levy so far this year. I have been very hard on him in the past, but he is playing well.
Running game was awesome.
If we could just do something about those pesky 70 yard TD's.... _________________

How about you go back and take a look at his assignments. He was assigned short routes and his receptions were all of that nature except one 15 yard play.
There is also doing his job which is exactly what he did.
Burleson does exactly what he's supposed to do and he did it all game long. _________________

So you would be disappointed in our #2WR and #3 receiving target getting 160 receptions and 1104yds at the end of the season? _________________

+Leshoure looked legit
+Defended the run and any real big chunk plays
+Stafford looked more on point
+Houston played relatively well
+Legatron
+Greatest regular season game ever (even though we lost)
-Graham injured (I honestly feel this is a bigger deal than Stafford's, Stafford doesn't directly rely on his leg)
-Stafford injured
-Jake Locker destroying the pass defense
-No sacks
-Special Teams
-Big Plays
-Double digit penalties again
-We lost

Some of his assignments were out routes designed for short to medium gains. However, some of his routes were designed to get him in space outside so that he can get some YAC. He wasn't doing late in the year last year and he isn't doing it now. At this point Nate Burleson gets most of his separation by pushing off. He should be more than just a possession receiver.
As far as numbers and yards receiving numbers are concerned they can be misleading. A WR that averages 7 yards per catch does nothing to help take the pressure off of Calvin Johnson or make a defense pay for double-teaming, bracketing or rolling coverage to his side of the field. The Nate Burleson we have now isn't the Nate Burleson that played in Minnesota. He isn't stretching the field or consistently making impact plays even though he sees single coverage most of the time. 10 catches may look good in fantasy football but 10 catches doesn't always translate to play-making football in the real world. |

You sir, are a very hard person to please.
A WR that gets 7 yards in underneath routes is exactly the guy to take pressure off Calvin. Our #3 target is not going to be a playmaker, he is supposed to be consistent. We can't afford to pay 3 Calvin Johnsons, not to mention there aren't 3 in the world. _________________

We just got out played and out coached in all facets of the game today.
To be as close as it ended up being with all the big plays we allowed was nothing short of astonishing. That being said Titans aren't very good IMO, and this was a game coming in we should have won.
The secondary was and is terrible...no shock there, we knew that going on. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of pressure generated by our front four. Even with all the investments made there we still don't seem to have that guy that can dominate games on a regular basis. Suh gets doubled but no one else can step up and make plays. Where's Cliff Avril who wants to get paid like a top 10 DE? Where's our first round investment from last season, Nick Fairley?
More than anything that's what I'm most disappointed in.
Only bright spot today was how Mikel LeShoure played. Looked like a legitimate workhorse type back over there. Didn't see any ill effects from the Achilles. Kevin Smith's time in Detroit seems to be dwindling, barely saw any action today. Bell looked like the #2 guy. _________________

He didn't have any impact except for the hail Mary.
Burleson on the other hand did have impact your just not prepared to give him any credit. _________________

Isn't Nate Burleson still out #2 WR? He should be making more impact plays. Titus Young, our #3, had some decent underneath catches but was supposed to be our version of Desean Jackson with his speed and elusiveness and is often matched up against a #3/nickel corner. Are either one of them consistently taking advantage of their single coverage? |

Pettigrew is our #2 receiving target. And regardless, you play to a players' strengths. There are teams that have their #1 receiving target do mostly underneath routes. We all love Stafford's big arm and CJs big play ability, but our offense is based on shorter passes, like it or not. Last year Stafford threw for 5k yds and was bottom 5 in the league in yds in the air per throw. Burleson's job is underneath ticky-tack stuff. Not only are his stats no surprise, but they are actually very good. An 1100yd receiver across from CJ along with Grew is a whole lot better than most teams have. _________________

My observations:
-Offense needs to open the playbook. 1st play from scrimmage next week I would love to go for the homerun ball.
-Stafford looked better overall
-Defensive line needs to produce more
-Anyone else ever notice how when other teams don't blitz its tough to throw because they drop 7 or 8 in coverage and when we do the same thing we get torched. Ya its cause our secondary is AWFUL. Bentley and Houston played ok, but our safety play is horrid.
-Leshoure looks real good
-Special teams was anything but special |

Yeah leshoure makes this offense so much more fun to watch. I get just as excited in anticipation of us running as passing now. Kevin smith was pretty boring. But sadly with no pass defense a team like the titans would actually rather pass the ball than give it to a 2000 yard rusher. |

Titus is easily my biggest disappointment this year. I expected him to break out in a big way this year. There is still a lot of time left, but I thought he'd be taking over the #2 role in a convincing way not acting like an idiot.
On the bright side Hanson can punt the ball like a champ. _________________
