The only people who will know how good he is are people in the NFL and fans of the Eagles/teams who play the Eagles.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him make the 1st or 2nd All-Pro team, TBH. People who know their stuff around the league will know how good he is soon enough |
DT isn't really a big number position. _________________

Yea Kendricks is the one who will have a shot at DROY.....but I think Fletcher could at least get mentioned for it. If he continues to play this way I could see a smart commentator like Mayock really talk him up during the game. But for most analysts they gravitate towards LBs because like Ninja said..they have the numbers. _________________

I dont really care, he will get his, he has all the tools and drive to not just one of the best defensive tackles in the game but one of the best players overall in the league. Having Washburn in your corner and playing next to Trent Cole helps for sure tho, he is in the right place, as Wash said "the position hes born to play"(paraphrased) _________________

Last season Evan Mathis had the best season for a guard in the NFL statistically. He didn't make 1st or 2nd team all-pro. _________________

Good comparison actually.
Darnell Dockett is one of the if not most underrated players in the league.. He is the definition of disruptive.. I see Cox being that dude for sure , HUGE , STRONG, DISRUPTIVE. _________________

Very good comparison. But, I think Cox has the potential to be even better. He's in a scheme that is built for his style. He is young, healthy, strong, fast, everything you could want in a DT.
Could just be my homerism, though. _________________

I think comparing him to Dockett is selling Cox a bit short, Jim Washburn was comparing him to Richard Seymour after the draft. |

Washburn was down to his pro day and working him out, and Pats Dline coach said Cox reminded him of Seymour.
But don't Cox have more speed than Seymour? _________________

Well i'm going to say Fletcher has more speed because for one he is younger and his 40 time was 4.79 and Seymour's was 4.95... _________________

What didn't you like about it?
Not slamming you or anything...just interested. I thought we were unanimous on here about Cox. |
I gotcha. I was just kinda 50-50 on him. I wasnt blown away by his game tape. When we picked him i was stoked because of what the analysts were saying and ive liked it ever since. _________________

Wash was a big reason we picked Cox if I'm not mistaken...right? He's gonna groom that kid into one of the best DTs in the league within the next 2 years, IMO. _________________

I never actualy expected us to get him, I was ecstatic when we got him. Then in shock with the rest of our draft. I really felt when it was over and continue to feel now this draft has the possibility to be the greatest draft in eagles franchise history. |

I think this was the first draft that we wanted everyone we drafted in the first 4 rounds except Foles...but even there we were OK with it because the guy we did want we got in the 4th. _________________
