He's worn an MLB hat for years now. Did they just make a new rule only allowing NFL hats or something?

I'm thinking it may have to do with the new contract with New Era. Although it makes no sense. lol

I was thinking it had to do with brand too. With the switch away from reebok to Nike. Since it was okay last year but not this year.
But MLB hats are new era. But now nfl is new era as well "game hats"
So I'm guessing it's that they want him, if he wears a cap, to wear the 49ers game day hat only.

I've seen tons of guys wearing different hats after games. This must be new. Who cares though as long as its New Era? What's the difference?
