Haha Manning's reaction is priceless.
Didn't expect Nic to play this well. Didn't think he had the ability to play this well. We got a BARGAIN when we extended him. _________________

Oh lord is it nice to see this defense actually try something different. It was crazy how many different looks Nolan gave on third downs. _________________

Crazy play by Robinson. Another crazy defensive play was when WillyMo hit the receiver in the endzone to jar the ball loose. _________________

Didnt get to watch much of the game, but the lack of red zone scoring, and the non-existent run game is very alarming imo. Couldnt be happier with the defense though. I have total faith in Nolan. _________________

I think McClain only plays outside. The problem I have with Franks is his awareness and aggressiveness. He get's lost too easily and he tends to grab receivers as they break. He is playing with danger in terms of getting PI calls. _________________

Some observations:
- I have criticized Dunta several times since he joined, so its only fair to give him props when he plays well. His best game in a Falcons uni. Asante was no slouch either and tackled hard (although he needs to work on his form)
- Moore was everywhere. The spine of our D - the interior rushers (Babs + Walker especially), Spoon/Nic and the safeties were all on last night and it was awesome to watch.
- The OL looks much better pass blocking than last year, but some of that has to be attributed to Matt's increasing confidence in his pocket awareness
- Disappointed to see that while the offensive scheme has changed for the better, our late game offensive approach is Smith's call and so isn't likely to change anytime soon.
- Corner depth is starting to become a concern, but all other than Franks played well yesterday.
- ST coordinator - tell the punt returners to fair catch the thing if you're outside the 10. There were two or three times they let it bounce completely unnecessarily. _________________

| I didn't know where to put this but this will do. Congratulations to the Falcons, that defensive performance last night was impressive. We (Texans) play the Broncos this Sunday and I sure hope Wade Phillips is dissecting your game tape and following the example you guys set for how to beat Peyton. |

Owens needs to be on the outside, with Dunte as the nickel corner. imo |

I read that Owens is most likely out Sunday so they are supposedly leaning on McClain. I am definitely excited. He sure knows how to do a lot with a little. _________________

Only thing I'm really worried about is our running game so far. Its weird having that be our weakness when its almost always been a strength. On a side not, was awesome to see our new look Defense bring it, and Matty Ice looked pretty comfortable back there. Pretty stoked for this season. _________________
