Sunday, Sep 23rd 4:05 PM ET
University of Phoenix Stadium
Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) @ Arizona Cardinals (2-0)
Coming home at 2-0 looking for the teams first 3-0 start since the team moved to Arizona. Hosting an Eagles team with two one point wins and an offense prone to turnovers, but a defense that likes to create them.
The Cardinals travelled to Philadelphia in Week 10 of last season and came away with a 21-17 victory thanks to two fourth quarter touchdown passes from John Skelton.
Expect another clsoe encounter with the Cardinals defense needing to put up another good performance to keep the team ahead on the scoreboard.
Notables from the last matchup;
Michael Vick 16-34, 128 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT.
LeSean McCoy, 14 carries 81 yards, 1 TD.
Keys to an Arizona win; The defense keeping the Eagles to teens or less on the scoreboard. Arizona being effective and efficient on 1st and 10. Arizona turning redzone trips into touchdowns.
So, Who ya got? _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
The Big Brain am winning again, I am the Greetest.

Notables:
Eagles Offense ranked #1 in overall yards.. and Defense ranked 4th in the same.
Cards Offense ranked #30 in overall yards.. and Defense ranked 13th in the same.
Key thing to remember, if memory serves, we went into Philly last season with their O and D ranked much higher than ours and still came out with a win.
Our D was still having some struggles at times when we faced the Eagles and they did well to shutdown Vick. I think the D will do great this game but the O will struggle mightily against this Eagles D.
Projecting a score around 10-7 maybe 13-9.. something super close and low with it going either way really. |

A win vs. the Eagles could setup a hell of a win streak, seeing that Arizona faces the Dolphins, Rams, Bills and Vikings in the next games after the Eagles.
Not saying that those games will be an easy rollover win but you'd figure Arizona could be considered a favorite to win them. |

Biggest game of the season.
We lose, media says first 2 games where flukes, we are bad etc.
We win, we are proving we are on right track, momentum is with us through this home stand
I can see another tustle overall, but like how we match up with their D with our O.
Final result 20 - 17, a nailbitter again. |

One of the biggest keys for me is having our starting quarterback, who I'm sure will be Kevin Kolb, not try to do too much against his former team. Slow it down, keep the emotions of the game in check and be smart with the football. _________________

Vick through 2 games, facing what some consider a stout Browns D and stout Ravens D:
52/88 (59.1%) for 688 yards (7.8 avg) 3 TD 6 INT, 4 sacks, 66.9 Passer Rating. 1 rushing TD, 3 fumbles.
Kolb through 2 games (one series in SEA game) vs great Seattle D, and stout revamped Patriots D:
21/35 (60%) for 206 yards (5.9 avg) 2 TD 0 INT, 1 sack, 95.7 Passer Rating. 1 rushing TD, 1 fumble.
Arizona D 3rd down efficiency: 32% allowed.
Eagles D 3rd down efficiency: 22% allowed.
Arizona D 1st downs per game: 21.5
Eagles D 1st downs per game: 14.5
Arizona O 3rd down efficiency: 29%
Eagles O 3rd down efficiency: 44%
Gonna need a strong Arizona performance for this one.. |

Very interesting stats thank you for those.
I have a feeling this will be a close game, hopefully we can protect Vick this week and limit the turnovers for once. _________________

Hopefully Juan doesn't put Brian Rolle one-on-one against Fitz in the red zone this time around
Should be a good one. _________________

Yeah, pretty much. Numbers rule this place. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Cardinalss 44-6 in a laugher ....
Seriously though I think this is going to be a very ugly game, and very close. I'll take the Eagles in a 17-9 game that goes down to the wire. I'm just confident the Eagles will have less than 4 turnovers, and I just don't see the Cards being able to move the ball against our defense. A good defense meeting a horrible offense, just don't see Cards putting up more than 14 points and I don't see the Eagles putting up less than 17. It's sure to be a close game though, and will be a statement win for whoever wins, more so for the Cards, _________________

Where are the major upgrades on the Philadelphia defense/offense from last season?
The Cardinals D only gave up 10 points to Philly last season (pick to 6 Asante Samuel), and the Cards O posted 21 last season.
Not that last season is going to repeat itself, but overall the Cardinals are a slightly better defensive team now than they were at the stage they played the Eagles last season, while the offensive unit is very similar. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Just to continue the love affair with stats; Arizona is 9-2 over their last 11 games, their offensive unit has averaged 19 PPG over the same span, never scoring more than 23. The defense has averaged 18 PPG against and has never given up more than 23 points. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

First huge test for our pass protection this weekend as well. Babon and Cole, Fletcher Cox inside, Graham plays quite a bit I believe. They're gonna come after us guns blazing. We're gonna see lots of 2-3 TEs I'm guessing. _________________
