27-21 WITH THE W one of the finest falcons games I've ever wintnessed
* William Moore was ON FIRE tonight. He was making the most spectacular plays at the most clutch moments
* Our secondary as a whole looked great the whole first half
* Ryan looked better than I've seen him. His cojones have doubled in size and I like that he's not afraid to scramble when he needs to and slide well. He threw a couple smart ones away but overall it was nice to see him explore all other options if possible.
* Cant say enough about how much I love Mike Nolan's new scheme on defense. When we line up I genuinely get excited about all the motion going on with our entire D. It usually pays off (see 3 picks and 1 FF in first 15 minutes)
* Tony G. The man is STILL one of the best TEs in the game right now. Real treat to watch him fight for those first downs and snag that 2nd TD
* The O-line is performing noticeably better, not great but theyre a much more scrappy bunch than last year.
* Roddy White was really reliable and clutch when needed tonight. Stepped up when the defense was too focused on Julio. Classic evening in his career
* Stephen Nicholas is playing the best football of his life this season. Excited to see more big plays from our LB corps.
only things im not ecstatic about:
* The whole backfield looked stale tonight, little surprised at that but they helped close it out in the end
* Our Defensive line had its moments but was overall not generating much pressure still. Edwards just looked like an overpaid thug tonight. Our DTs looked solid though, just no results from our 8 man high payroll DE rotation _________________ formerly MadAtFalcons |

He hurt his hand early in the game actually. It might have effected his ability to catch because he had some drops in the game. Roddy picked up his slack, but hopefully it doesn't effect him going forward. _________________

Good game Falcons!
I think we can both agree that we need the regular refs back because this game was officiated as poorly as any game I've ever witnessed.
Nonetheless, Denver still managed to make it close despite the -4 turnover ratio, so I'm not completely distraught with this loss.
Good luck next week. Kick the Dolts behinds for us! |

Good game indeed. And we can definitely concur on the refs- that was pathetic. Bring back the real refs. Seriously. _________________ "John Wayne and Rio Lobo are coming up next, just as soon as Jeffrey Leonard hits into a 6-4-3." (CRACK!) "Six...four...three!" -- Skip Caray |

2-0 baby... loved every second of tonight.
i was at the game tonight... section 118 represent. the Dome was electric tonight. there were some super annoying Broncos fans sitting about 3 rows in front of me.. and they were obnoxious until like the 3rd play of the game when WillyMo had his pick.. and I didn't hear a peep out of them from then on out _________________

Good game by the Falcons. Nolan had your secondary on high alert. Way to coach up a D.
Best of luck for your season!
Unless we meet again in New Orleans, of course. _________________

You definitely deserved the W last night, despite our little rally near the end there. The intensity in that 1st quarter was just too much for Offensive Line and veteran QB to handle, so kudos to your players and fans for that.
I am sick to death of that damn dunk by Gonzo. Saw it 1000000000000 times against us for the Chiefs ... _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

Now we know why Lofton wasn't pursued heavily in the offseason. Our base defense is the Nickel now. This switch to Nolan and his nickel D has allowed both Spoon and Nicholas to go HAM in the first 2 games.
I didn't think it was possible but the Spoon dance got better. Also, notice Manning and his reaction. _________________
