PatCat. That's what Patrick Peterson is naming his wildcat work. We ran it twice today for what I think was either 23 or 25 yards. Peterson already plays every snap on defense and all the return units. Playing him out is NOT something I'm interested in doing but with how effective it was when ran today and with how anemic our offense is, do we need to be running this PatCat something like 7-10 times a game? Or is this gimmick offense just a 2-3 play per game thing?
What do you guys think? _________________

I also wouldn't want to risk injury to him and since he's a key STer as well as a starter on D, I'd limit his offensive snaps to one per quarter. That would help the offense (even if he wasn't given the ball) and not overly risk injuring him. _________________

| Yeah, I wouldn't do it very often. Couple times a game, max. Too valuable on D and STs. Don't want to wear him out too much. |

It is going to be very predictable very soon if Peterson cannot throw the football. I like it as a gimmick, but not much else. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
