Sharp Cheddar for sure, thinly sliced for sandwiches or chunks for dipping in yellow mustard...or not it's good either way.
Pair it with some cut slices of Summer Sausage and it's fabulous.
I'm indifferent about most other cheeses some are better than others. The only cheese I hate is Swiss, so dry and terrible tasting....it doesn't help that it's texture is that of extremely dry skin. I've yet to find a use for it besides giving it to my dog when he needs a pill (I stick the pill in one of the cheeses stupid holes) and he's even 50/50 on eating it. _________________

You're not alone. I'm not a big cheese fan either except on pizza or tacos.
It is funny going to grocery stores down here. Back in WI you'll see a large section of the dairy department full of cheese selections but here you might see only a half a dozen shelves and almost half is shredded cheese for salads. I have found Kaukauna spread cheese at a local chain here and we buy it occasionally when we entertain. _________________

Don't use those two words ever again. Cheese is [inappropriate/removed] amazing - it isn't fabulous. _________________ @PJHotel_

Apparently our mods have lives and are out on Saturday night instead of on the forum? They must not live in Wisconsin. |
Contrary to your belief, I actually did absolutely nothing last night and saw this thread.
I just thought it was this one, though, and didn't open it:
