1:00 game at PBS
Browns at Bengals
Obviously week 1 was a huge disappointment for both teams. Weeden was an interception machine while Dalton didn't seem to be on top of his game either. Richardson was underwhelming and BJGE was pretty solid to say the least. The Browns defense looked legit while the Bengals gave up huge plays.
Thoughts:
- Joe Haden will be missed after being suspended for 4 games.
- Maualuga needs to shut up and play otherwise he needs to be benched
- AJ Green must show up this game. He was really a non factor vs the Ravens
- the running game for both teams will probably be the focal point for this game
- our secondary needs to improve drastically otherwise it's going to be a long year
- time to show we can not make rookie Qbs look like gods
Final score:
Bengals-17
Browns-10 _________________

AJ definitely showed up against the Ravens.... He was covered by one of the best corners in the league, with deep safety coverage, and still pulled in 4 catches for 70 yards. Not to mention that 30 yard catch that they said he "dropped", that'd put him at 100 yards receiving against a top 3 D.
I think the Bengals recover on defense this week and force some turnovers. Offense will probably disappoint against a very good Cleveland D.

Agreed on Green. I think dalton played Ok as well, but seemed a half second off every time we needed it most (overthrowing Green for what would have a been a TD).
The Browns don't have the QB or WRs the ravens have, plus we are home.
Maualuga's comments don't bother me, especially when you read the whole thing. He simply said the TRich didn't do anything spectacular. I watched the game. Their line did him no favors. Rey Rey should have kept it to himself, but he didn't go out on a limb like Jim Brown did.
No score predictions, but the Bengals get up two scores by the second quarter and try to coast. Which allows the browns to make it look close on paper, but in reality, the game won't be that close. Bengals by 10. |

I thought AJ played solid. He didn't have his best game, but it was a tough defense as they played over the top of him all night.
With Haden out, I look for him to have a big day. Hopefully we can keep Sheard at bay and give Dalton time to throw. They have some very good players on their front 7 along with Ward against the run so I don't know what to expect from BJGE.
Hopefully our secondary makes Weeden play like he did last week. I would like to see more of a pass rush from our defense without having the need to blitz. Also get Burfict in there some for Rey. _________________

In regards to AJ I expected him to really take over. But I guess Dalton has to get him the ball. Also Gresham was disappointing _________________

Key to the game will making 3rd down stops and taking care of the football. Just like every game i suppose, but the first one is the one that killed them Monday. Got to get the defense off the field and score on offense.
I look for Dalton and Green-Ellis to combine for 3 TD's. And i definitely don't want to see 4 field goals and 1 touchdown. Convert in the red zone! _________________ If you're not in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?

I completely agree that Gresham was very disappointing. He didn't look comfortable out there. Hopefully we get him down field more this game and get him active in the game. _________________

Yeah Gresh might have beaten out Rey last week for worst player on the field. He needs to come out guns blazing this week. |

Good luck guys. Here's to a good game with no injuries.
I expect Brown and Hagg to double cover Green.
Less turnovers on both sides
Another good defensive game
Weeden improving a little bit
Browns win 20-16 _________________ 2013 Browns Forum HOF |

i dont know if many of you have watched any Packers games this season. I watched both and have really liked how they don't use a RB in some of their shotgun sets, and instead use Cobb. I think it would be awesome to do the same, with Hawkins instead. So many different ways to use that _________________

Anyone going to the game? I got season tickets this year and will be going down with my brother tomorrow and didn't know if anyone else would be there. |

They'd have to feel comfortable with Hawkins pass protecting. Cobb is good enough at it that Rodgers can call for a block or chip if he senses a blitz. I have a feeling that Hawkins wouldn't really be able to do that. _________________ If you're not in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?
