I must remember this next time someone suggests cutting the long snapper to save a roster spot. _________________

True, but that stuff wears off eventually, and with the sporadic nature of ST play (and football in general), that's a lot of time to cool down. _________________

Justin Tyron also did this last year for the Giants.
Not taking away from this guy though. _________________

I wonder what Goodell thinks of this. Seriously. They have the new rules where if you have a concussion, you can't go back out there. But a broken arm? No problem. _________________

Redskins fans? Give us an update!
He mentioned his adrenaline being the reason he got through it, I could see it getting through a play or two, but nine, he probably pushed the limit and seriously risked further damage. Makes you wonder if he was worried about his roster spot due to injury. Coaches think higher of players who fight through injuries rather than sit them out, but was there even a viable option? Was he cleared or did he just go for it? |
The play he broke his arm on was the blocked punt (per other sources: it was a blown assignment due to New Orleans overloading the other side of the line; not Sundberg's fault). He did try to stop Martez Wilson from getting through when he saw that Wilson had a free pass. Whether that was the cause or after the break, I don't know.
In any event, he has been placed on IR but "designated for return." So, he can come back to the Redskins in week 9. That's how much they like him. He didn't need to worry about his job. |

Talk about toughness. Still I think the league should force stronger encouragement against people doing this as to prevent further damage. _________________ Why, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg. With a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg. |
