I could have sworn Harper was the safety that let 88 yard TD happen. I don't even know what he was doing. Bad angle? And wasn't he the person that let RG3 hit the TE for a first down in the 4th quarter? |
We were in zone coverage on Garcons TD and Harper got illegally picked on the play, the second play it looked as if Harper had priority on the HB. He's at the LOS and he clearly hesitates as the HB runs to the flats and then RG3 fires it to the TE, not sure if Harper was supposed to be covering the TE or the HB.

I really think both safeties played well, It wasn't really bad angles per se, but more of just the rest of the secondary not doing their job. The defense was getting pressure, stopping the running game for the most part, and was chasing RGIII the entire night, it's just that when they got back there they couldn't drag him down, he'd break a tackle, juke a guy, and by that point a DB will lose coverage on his man, you can't cover someone for 7+ seconds every play and expect them to keep perfect coverage, and he found the open guy.
Just a perfect game and game plan by the Redskins offense.
Our offense is starting out like last year again. OL is looking like crap and it's going to affect the entire offense as Brees gets pressured and we can't run the ball.
