Has anybody seen that Jared Allen had 0 tackles and 0 sacks? I mean I very much watched the game but I didn't focus all of my attention on that part of the game as much as others. I saw Jared's (lack of) numbers and was surprised... I knew he had 0 sacks but 0 tackles? That says something for Monroe. _________________

Go to our main website (jaguars.com) and check out Jaguars all access.
They have a good breakdown of his performance.
He's also their guest this week. _________________ People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

| Quote: | If you’re going to make things easier for a young quarterback the first thing you need to do is keep him upright. While the Jaguars’ offensive line was suffering on Sunday, at least they were solid as a rock at left tackle. Going up against Jared Allen, who was fresh off a season in which he sacked the passer 24 times, Eugene Monroe (+5.4) was perfect in pass protection and made several big plays in the run game too, springing the Jaguars’ rushers for additional yardage and giving them the corner by pinning Allen inside.
To pass block 46 times in a game and keep Allen entirely without pressure is an extremely impressive feat. The only occasion Allen got the better of Monroe came early in the game when he jumped the snap (albeit barely), which beat the big left tackle off the ball so badly Monroe turned around the wrong way in an attempt to prevent disaster. Monroe has been working his way up the tackle rankings for a few seasons now, could this be the year he becomes one of the best in football? |

I mean... He has been deserving of recognition for his underrated play ability for a while now. I think it's fair to say that a probowl season is within a realistic goal for him this year. _________________

He dominated Allen. He was doing the same thing much of last year too. This should be the year he is listed among the elite LT in the league. _________________

I wouldn't say the Pro Bowl is realistic until ESPN creates the bandwagon. _________________

Well if he continues at this level I will see it happening. _________________

Pretty much
Arguably the best defensive end in the game got absolutely nothing at home, where he plays best. For the most part, Monroe got zero help with the assignment.
I'm sure he's been asked and he's usually pretty candid with his responses, but I'd like to know what Allen has to say about Monroe. _________________

It depends on the passing game and how many sacks the line gives up as a whole. If Blaine gets consistent pressure and sacks, there's no chance Eugene makes it, no matter how dominant his play. _________________

problem is that with Roos, Thomas and Long he loses on name alone which is half the battle with the fan vote _________________
