San Francisco 49ers vs Detroit Lions

VS
Another match-up of a high powered offense versus an elite defense. Last year the 49ers came out on top of a hard fought match, and we hope to do the same last year. Don't let last week fool you, the Lions sputtering against the Rams was a fluke. Expect the Lions to come out firing and fighting for their coach, as will the 49ers. Who will win the handshake title?
Keys for the game:
Protect Alex: Our line did a good job on Sunday, but we need to build on that. The Pack still got to Alex, and the Lions have a pass rush that's just as relentless. When Alex got time, he was exceptional, so we need to give him that again this week.
Get to Stafford: He's not as mobile as Rodgers, so we have a better shot at getting to him. Taking him down is another thing, but we need to disrupt him and keep him on his back. He threw a good amount of picks last week, and we need to make sure he forces throws he doesn't want to make.
Take advantage of opportunities: Stafford will give us a few bad throws, but we need to capitalize on them. There were a couple INT's that we left on the field last week, and we can't let that happen again.
Lock down Megatron: He's Calvin Johnson, so he'll burn us for some big gains regardless, but we need to make sure they aren't touchdowns. Culliver did a solid job on him last time, and whoever gets assigned to him has to keep him down. _________________

It going to be the most watched handshake in football history
does goodell even let they do it?
I'm just hopeing to see if we can get the OFF. going fast like the GB game, and if we do get a lead do we slow down and run the time down or add to the lead |

Chris Culliver did do a good job against Johnson and let everyone know about it on twitter afterwards. Also, if you guys remember, Avril and Davis had a back and forth as well. Avril promised to teach Davis respect the next time they faced off. Well, lets see if Culliver and Davis can back it up on Sunday.
Megatron is a beast but if we make them one dimensional, we should be able to create some turnovers. The defense is missing some players and can be scored on. Need another quick start like we had against GB and let the defense do what they do best. _________________

While on the sidelines...
Mean while an old friend crashes the party..
Oh really?
I always get the last laugh...
And the crowd goes wild...
There will be some that are mad, but....

I hope Chris Houston plays and I hope we burn him deep several times. _________________

LOLOLOL This is the best start of a thread ever. I love that pic of Anthony Davis laughing at Scwartz. Dude is such a clown on twitter, and instagram. He reminds me of how I used to act when I competed in sports in HS. _________________

I would love to see Harbaugh go to the middle of the field and flip Schwatrz off.
Our coach might be the biggest jerk in the NFL. I love it. _________________

I have to hand it to you Viking fans. You guys love Moss. Are you going to root for Moss to own the vikings when we play? _________________

That's a tough spot for me. I'm a huge Vikings fan, but I'll be at the game in my Moss gear. _________________

| A part of me wonders if Harbaugh lays it on even if we are up. As we all know, as soon as the 49ers have a lead, the offense tends to get conservative to eat the clock up. The exception to this was when Harbaugh and Co poured it on the Bucs last season seemingly because the Bucs dismantled the 49ers the year before. I know the Lions didn't beat the 49ers last year but I cannot help but wonder if Harbaugh still has a bone to pick with the Lions and just piles up the points this Sunday. |

I think we dominate this game. And wind by a large margin. They have cj on offense an that's it. No run game I speak of. Stafford forces it to cj very play. And although it worked all last season. Even the rams got it this year.
We got this one. _________________ ***WE RUN THE WEST!***
