Mark Sanchez- 18/26, 241 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
Stephen Hill- 5 catches, 89 yards, 2 TD
Jeremy Kerley- 4 catches, 45 yards, 1 TD, 68 yard PR TD
Austin Howard- shut down Mario Wiliams
I know we had 3 INTs but other than that the defense looked bad. Fitzpatrick was really bad. _________________

This was probably the toughest one to decide on. I believed in Sanchez this whole time, so I knew he would step up. Hill had a great game, he dropped the very first pass, but focused and played great through the game. Kerley was amazing, he got called out, and answered to rex. Thats what Ive been waiting to see from him.
But I went with Howard. This dude was undrafted, and cut from 2 other teams. Came in to camp worked hard. Became the starter, and made Mario Williams look like a nobody. The oline looks so much better with him in it, people have now forgotten that was our biggest issue at one point. I'm real happy for him. _________________

| not fair to say the defense looked bad today, they were awesome (with the exception of the long Spiller TD run) until the game became a blowout. Give it to Sanchez since it's easy to point to the leader, but the entire offense was very impressive today |

Tough decision. Mark was great but Howard made Mario Williams look like Kimo von Olhoeffen. Without him Mark has no time to do anything. _________________

There were a lot of impressive performances. Sanchez probably had the most pressure to perform, so I'll give my vote to him for playing a fantastic game despite that.
Austin Howard also deserves some serious love for filling our biggest hole (at least for one game), and making it look easy.
The WRs were hopefully giving us a preview of good things to come. _________________

You better get 100 yards when you have 30 carries. _________________

LOL exactly. Hes so effing slow. I cant wait till Powell gets more carries. He looks so much faster and still cant block, catch and likes contact. _________________

Actually it was 27. And the last was for a 1 yard td. So that kind of messed with the avg per carry. 85% of teams would take that all day. So sick of some on this forum who act as if Blair Thomas and Browning Nagle are playing in our backfield. Get over it already. The guy produces and you still trying to hate. _________________ I love to hate the Red Sux

Sanchez looked really good today, he gets my vote. He seemed to be playing with confidence. He was able to make his reads more quickly than we've seen in the recent past.
I'm impressed by the way Sparano called the game, too. I understand the WR corp wasn't built for speed last season, but Schotty never seemed to emphasize that in order to run the ball like the Jets want to do, they have to throw the ball down the field. That's how the Giants ran their ball-control offense in the 80's under Parcells. It's a relief to see that Sparano gets that, and Sanchez and company have the ability to execute that strategy. _________________

Agreed, the score was 41-7 then the Bills scored a few stat padding TDs that really meant nothing. _________________

Yeah. At that point, our defense was just playing to chew up the clock. _________________
