A fantastic start to our 2012 campaign. I can already see what the key factor for our Super Bowl run will be. Just wondering if someone will actually mention it during their "America's Game" segment or not...

Still worried about depth. In particular at DE, will they step up? Tim Shaw and Patrick Bailey are not good LB to be honest, but are spectacular special teamers. Worried about Mouton if he has to cover a #1 at some point. I really love our DT rotation, though.

Couldn't think where to post this....but does it tick anyone else off that people are just giving this division to the Texans?

Not really. While I think the Titans can win the division, the Texans are equally capable and more experienced, especially at the most important position on the field. On top of that, we're so thin (DE in particular) that we're one or two bad breaks away from plummeting. I think that's a pretty realistic evaluation of the situation as it stands now. It's not a knock on the Titans to realize the Texans are in a better position right now.

Must be my own un-willigness to "crown their A$$"...lol They could go 16-0 5 years in a row and I still won't label them as a favorite..lol

I'll say they have a good chance to win it, but I won't outright hand it to them like some media outlets have. Make it seem like we won't contend at all.
Oh, well I guess thats why they play the games.

Fair enough, in my eyes. They were the sole team to represent what was a very down year for the AFC south. Let's not forget they were rocking their 3rd string QB for the later part of the season as well. They didn't lose much, and where they did, they got younger with solid talent. I think people tend to forget how good Schaub was in their offense. Fragile? Absolutely. But still a solid QB for them. Can really shred defenses when he needed to. If Andre Johnson stays healthy, he stretches the field, enabling their already very potent running game.

I'm done talking nice about them. It's better to be the underdog anyways. I'd rather the target be on the Texans than the Titans. I'd love for people to overlook us. We all know we have some potentially incredible talent. Key word: Potentially. Most of the players we're speaking about have yet to break out, and if they have, they haven't stayed healthy. We've got several players reaching the primes of their career, and our time will be sooner than later. Early success = confidence. Until we achieve that success, I'll just remain optimistic about the future.

Think about how many players on our defense that most NFL fans know about. I mean without Finnegan there's really no household names out there, it's a pretty young group with tons of potential. Titans fans know they've got a couple stud players with McCarthy, McCourty, Casey, Verner and maybe a couple others, but most people haven't heard much of these guys yet. I think the lack of respect is totally understandable. A lot of people think of the Titans as this young team that's rebuilding and overachieved last year. This group hasn't really proved much and the Texans were very good last year. Being the underdog is good though and I don't honestly expect us to take the division unless the Texans give it away. I look at the Titans schedule and I see a ceiling of 10-6 which is going to be very hard, and maybe a basement of 6-10.
