808 mentioned this in the General section under the 'NFL Network hires McNabb' thread, but I figured it deserved it's own spotlight in the Eagles forum.

Quote:
Nine-time Pro Bowl safety Brian Dawkins is joining ESPN as an NFL analyst, appearing on shows including "SportsCenter," "NFL Live," "Audibles" and "NFL32."

Quote:

Dawkins will debut on "Audibles" on Thursday, September 13 alongside Keyshawn Johnson, Jerry Rice and Marcellus Wiley.

I will definitely be tuning into "Audibles" on September 13 and look forward to #20 dropping the knowledge on me. B Dawk <3

We will see what happens.

Sometimes athletes going into the media ends up being bad for them, but knowing Dawkins as a well-spoken, humble guy who knows what he's talking about to be just fine.

He's with the three worst guys on ESPN, he's destined to succeed.

I think he could be good.

Wiley isn't cut out for Audibles, he fits more of the Sportsnation mold, him and John Salley.

Man I miss B-Dawk so much... Just the interview he had on PE.com use to pump me up. Looking forward to watching him on ESPN.

I've heard Rice is bad, how are the other 2?

I'd go Emmitt, Jerry, Hoge and that fraud Dilfer as the worst.

Rice and Wiley are awful, probably 2/3 of the worst on ESPN[with Dilfer being #1], but I don't mind MeShawn as much as others do.

Same. Key and Chris Carter are easily tolerable compared to some of the others. I can't stand Merril Hoge personally. Bruschi and Schlereth are whatevs.

Really hope Dawk does well in this new chapter of his post-NFL career., Too bad I was unaware of this program, or I would have set my DVR.

He wasn't bad. Though he lacked excitement, oddly enough. Bruschi and Schlereth I can deal with, but most everyone else is awful. Although I'm not in the Boomer hater camp

I hope Dawk is on sometime shortly before and after this week's game, so they can ask him about how it will and did feel to get your number retired at the Linc.
