I have my doubts about this decision of NFL Network
McNabb is not the smartest person(He did not know that he could have a tie game in the nfl!) _________________

Yeah some of these former players a nice to have but I have my doubts about Donovan. I hope he turns out better than Darren Sharper who has trouble putting an understandable sentence together. _________________

^^^ Emmitt Smith has a job at ESPN. McNabb is a divine being of infinite wisdom compared to Emmitt Smith. Emmitt picked Travis Henry to win rookie of the year when he signed with the Broncos.
Besides, these gigs are rarely about intelligence or insight. It's all about how comfortable you are in front of a camera, because everyone talks about generic crap that you already know to kill time. _________________ Equal Opportunity Hater

Just a reason to self-promote for McNabb, he is always hyping himself up that he can still start. Now NFL Network has provided him with a platform and audience to send the message. |

He's no exactly stupid either; he's a great fit for a host. I'm sure McNabb will do fine on TV - he can't be any worse then the other morons the NFLN has. |

I would much rather listen to what Dawk has to say than McNabb. _________________ 2013 Eagles Forum HOF

Yup. I think I learn more here vs any show. Those shows are for ratings, and a guy like Donovan McNabb gets ratings. Simple. _________________

That remains to be seen. He seemed like a fun guy with personality before in Philly. I remember Deion Sanders on CBS pre game shows, dude brought nothing of value to the broadcast from a football perspective, but I could have a blast watching him mess around and poke fun at Marino and Boomer all day. _________________ Equal Opportunity Hater

I'm assuming many of you being negative haven't really seen McNabb in action and are basing it on other issue with him as a QB or person? From a Television perspective. He's well spoken, Intelligent, knows the game of football and is extremely funny. Being a person who has probably seen the vast majority of his interview ,PC's ,TV appearances (via SB week ,ESPN, NFLN, etc) this is hardly a bad hire. If players like Rice, Emmitt, Irving ,Dukes and numerous others can get/keep analyst jobs surely Donovan McNabb can as well. _________________
