I don't think there were any real surprises this year... maybe CHawkins... Mooney... but they're not shocking. I'm not sure if Hawkins is available for the PS, but if he is, it wouldn't surprise me if both of those guys along with Clayton and Preston are invited to the PS.
The lack of DE is depth is still a big concern, as is depth (and starting talent for that matter) on the interior OL.
Some of the notable names around the league are:
Ovie Mugheli FB (would be a huge upgrade to QJ)
Vernon Gholston DE (I know... I'm a sucker for potential)
Amobi Okoye DT (hurt but there's that potential word again)
And unfortunately, other than Koppen (who because of injury may not be an upgrade to the depth we currently have on the Ol), there wasn't a guy out there that truly caught my eye as far as OL. _________________

Barden, Clayton, Wilson, Preston, and Mooney have all been added to the practice squad. Really glad that we're hanging onto Clayton. _________________

Remember that the practice squad really just gives us right of first refusal for signing those guys to a contract. _________________

Mugheli and Koppen are the 2 i want. We need reliable depth at C and anyones better than Quinn Johnson _________________

I'd like to give Gholston a shot. We need depth there and I still feel like he just hasn't found the right scheme. Maybe Rex Ryan trying to stand him up in the 3-4 screwed him up. I dunno but I love the potential too. _________________

Gholstons a terrible idea the guys just awful. We have depth there his name is Zach Brown. If we ever got past Brown due to injuries then where screwed anyways but we have Shaw also he actually did very good this preseason. Center and FB are way bigger depth needs than LB right now. I dont think we'll pick anyone up ut who knows we'll see i guess _________________

Gholston is a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 LB. _________________
