Hey guys I'm looking for a fantasy outlook for Newton, Smith, and DeAngelo Williams
Is Newton going to be a top 5 fantasy QB? I figure his rushing numbers will fall, but is he going to step up in the passing game?
Is Smith still going to be a 1000/7 WR? How has he looked in TC?
And is Williams going to get lost in the carries battle with Tolbert, Stewart and Newton?
Thanks |

Don't draft DeAngelo until very late. He had less carries than Stewart last year, doesn't play on red zone, and Tolbert was added.
Smith will have about the same numbers as last year. Over 1000 yards, not too many touchdowns.
Newton will have his rushing numbers go down slightly, but will have more Td's, less int, and more overall efficiency.
One hint, draft Greg Olsen. _________________

Brandon Lafell should also be a good late round option. _________________

Newton had a fair number of deep completions stopped at the 1. That led to some more rushing TDs, but denied his receivers. _________________

cam = i would expect another 35 TDs and 4500 yards. not sure how they will come, but they will.
smitty should do around 80/1200/7
i think deangelo will lead the team in rush yards due to being a homerun hitter but it will probably be around 700-800. probably not a lot of TDs. or receptions since tolbert and stew are the screen options usually.
i'd really only feel confident starting cam and smitty as far as panther players go. maybe olsen. idk if he is going to improve stats that much with the way we spread the ball around. _________________

I know they're trying to get Barnidge involved more, but I really think Olsen is going to have a really big year. _________________

i dunno. i think lafell will rise just enough and tolbert will steal enough catches to make olsen's improvement marginal. _________________

If you want a Carolina RB, draft Stewart. He's a good option around the 50th pick, especially in PPR leagues.
Smith and Newton will be overdrafted in almost every league.
DeAngelo can still be a good bench RB, occasional flex play.
Olsen is probably a fringe starting TE in most leagues, a definite starter in a big league.
Again, in a deep league Tolbert is probably a good bench player. |

Is Week 1 one of those weeks where DeAngelo is a decent flex play?
I have him as a bench RB but I didn't know the extent of Stewart's injury. As of now I have Trent Richardson/Doug Martin as flex options. Any chance I'd want to start DeAngelo over either of them? _________________

Call me crazy, but I drafted both Williams and Stewart (later than projected), thinking that if either one goes down (not that unlikely), I've got an automatic workhorse in the other, who will put up good numbers with our line. |

I got Deangelo pretty late too. Like really late, I thought people just forgot he was available. His second year in the system and it looks like Stewy is banged up, I think he'll have a good year. |

DWill is an awesome pick up for the first few weeks, until Stew gets healthy.
He goes from being a binge bench player to a top 10 RB pick. _________________

I'd start both Martin and Richardson over Williams. |
It depends on Richardson's injury status for this week, but I'd go Martin over Williams for sure. Richardson is a no-brainer for that spot when he's completely healthy though. |
