This is great news! After the final preseason game, McGee left without speaking to the medis. He thought he was gonna be released. Then we inform him that he made the team, only to release him a day or two later. Guys, this is as close to a GTFO as it gets. I love it that we screwed with McGee's head!

Cochart will be cut after the Giants game - wonder who we pick back up
my guess would be an Olineman or a QB.

On a side note really glad that Coale cleared waivers. Would have really thought that somebody would have claimed in off of his potential and upside alone.

I am really shocked that Hamilton wasn't brought back in. I think he would be much better developmental guy than Olawale.

I really think that TE the Boys claimed is holding that spot for Coale once he's 100% and ready full go. I can't see the Boys carring 4 TE's on game day for the full season.

That would give us 7 receivers though. Not sure they want to do that

Better than 4 te's imo. I'm sure JJ and Garrett want to protect Coale from another team snatching him from the PS.

I am so proud of this coaching staff. They straight up trolololololed McGee! FFMD style!

Break out the champagne!

On Hamilton, I'm disappointed the team didn't keep him. He's extremely raw, but he has talent. And in this pass-happy league, you can never have enough pass rushers.

Well I wanted Hamilton too but Butler showed just as much ability to get to the passer, and as much as I don't like the Wilber pick in the few snaps he got he look like he had a decent rush on himself. It came down to Albright/Lemon and Hamilton. Albright won that hands down with his versatility and I like what Lemon has done the past two years so I see why he earned the PS spot.

When we let Spencer walk, hopefully we spend a high pick on a pass rusher and forget all about this.

Glad Coale got retained. 6 or so weeks on the PS would benefit him greatly. As for after Giants game, I would say Cochart is a cut, and we fill it with a player who can benefit us from FA. Maybe Hamilton? Every team needs a Pass Rush specialist. Wouldn't be surprised to see McGee back either though. Or maybe even Kafka or Hoyer.

Given that we didn't even offer him a spot on our PS, I doubt we bring him back. At least not this year.

I don't think he is practice squad eligible.
