@TomPelissero: #Vikings like waiver claim Mark Asper being a little older, more physically mature.

My only complaint is not keeping Todman. Asiata is just another Gerhart type of back. It is just redundancy.

Isn't that a good thing?!

I know it's not quite the same, but when you have a power running attack, you wouldn't want to have Michael Bennett back there.

We know the kind of rushing attack we have, and we have three power running backs to implement it.

I don't see how it is a good thing.

If AD is able to return and be the AD of old then it won't matter. If he cannot or if he isn't ready for Jacksonville then neither Gerhart or Asiata offer break away speed. Both struggle to get to the outside. You become strictly a north and south running team.

Todman is the type of back you want on the field in 3rd and long situations. You don't want a fullback that is masquerading as a running back.

Hell I don't even like Gerhart being used on 3rd and long situations.

I actually dont mind Gerhart back there on 3rd and long, chances are you arent throwing to your RB in that situation anyway, may as well have a guy who can block and give the QB a nice pocket.

Todman is still on the practice squad and if there is any issue with Peterson, I am sure the team would make room to get an extra back on the roster. Asiata showed more than Todman this preseason but I wouldnt rule out Todman joining the 53 at some point in the year.

Just for those people who care, the newest additions to the active roster, Mark Asper and A.J. Jefferson, will wear numbers 79 and 24 respectively.

24 always looks good on a CB. Smile

The MVP of the team this year is going to be the trainer.

This roster is paper thin. Hope nobody gets injured.

This is usually true with a team in the middle of a rebuild. Its hard to buildup depth, let alone starters.

Well, since you just lost Phyllis Diller, I guess you'll have to move to #2 on the list. Laughing

Overall, I think this roster signficantly improves the team, compared to last year. I don't necessarily like trading for Jefferson, because I don't know he'll be better than Carr or Bowman, but time will tell.

I share the concerns at the OT position, but frankly, if Kalil goes down, this line's in a world of hurt -- we already know how well Johnson plays tackle. Ain't wanting to see any more of that anytime soon.

One thing I do like is the make up of the Practice Squad. When you look at those guys as talent-in-waiting, I think the Vikes are onto something. I see Gurley as a guy who comes up to speed on the Vikes playbook and then replaces Aromoshadu by week 4.

Should Gerhart or Peterson sustain an injury - Todman's right there and ready to roll.

And if Guion's knee fails or Evans doesn't get it done, Baker is there.

The only thing left to do is "Play the Game!" Very Happy
