I liked Tennant as a C coming out. He did remind me of Koppen.

He was with the Saints during Pats/Saints joint practices, similar to how the Pats traded a late pick for Ojinaka a few years ago.

Not sure if you want to call it conflicting reports or not... but Reiss says we claimed Tennant [which makes a lot more sense], we didn't sign him like a FA.

I'm pretty sure we can't even sign him as a FA yet, so he had to be claimed.

He isn't a vested veteran.

I liked him coming out as a Center prospect, I remember wanting the Pats to draft somebody from BC and he was considered by some to be a second round guy at one point. I remember watching him fill in at some point for the Saints and I thought he fared well. I like this signing overall for the depth of the interior line but I think it could be a hint that Waters might not be close to coming back.

He got very limited playing time with the Saints but he was alright in pass protection. He's a good athlete with good length, he really struggles in run blocking though. He isn't very strong, he gets pushed around quite a bit.
