I'm shocked by this, I thought he'd do pretty well this season. Sounds like he was unwilling to take a paycut. _________________

I'm less disappointed now, to say the least. What was his contact looking like? It's too bad.
What I don't understand is, you decide against taking a pay cut...by getting cut? _________________

If this is truly the case, I wonder why John and Pete didn't get this hammered out 'Before' the cut to 53.... Goes to show you, it's never a dull moment in Hawksville... Sucks tho, I was looking forward to the two TE sets w/Miller-Winslow.. I wonder who will replace him? _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk

Morrah is on the IR list, so he wont be back this year.

Man, Rotoworld updates their site really fast, it already says Winslow is a free agent and has no contract status for him.
I found this and it sounds like he had a pretty big contact.
Quote: | Originally, Winslow was supposed to make a $3.3 million base salary with Tampa Bay after signing a six-year, $36.1 million contract in 2009. Now, one team later, Winslow is looking for work. |

Dang Morrah was like a WR playing the TE position just can never stay healthy. |

Winslow cut. Just me the only one that feels he deserves lots of credit for Wilson getting the starting job? Also could make it more understanding that Martin made the team? I like Martin because he catches with hands, blocks, and 28 but not beat up over the last 5 years. |

Not really on that TD catch it was a blown coverage that either Wilson or the coaching staff saw he should of caught that pass.
I thought Edward's did more for Wilson with some of the catches he has made that Wilson has thrown up to him. |

Wha? You can't be serious, can you?
It is Russell Wilson that deserves the credit that made him the starting QB, C'mon man!!!, Winslow had 3 catches for 34yds and 1 TD , Now if you want to give any credit to someone (that isn't Wilson) give it to Braylon Edwards he had some huge grabs for Wilson that went for some chunk yards. , and if you didn't notice TE Anthony McCoy had 6 catches for 106yds Avg. 17.7 _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk

I think Winslow being released had to do with 2 things:
1) he wouldnt take a paycut
2) the emergence of Anthony McCoy _________________

IDK for sure but just seem Wnslow had good things to say about Wilson and seemed very glad Wilson was named the starter over Flynn. Atleast that was the flavor I tasted. Edwards seemed a little more swadowed by the talk about Winslow. Edwards just seemed to went out there did his job and let the coaches coach.
I'm not saying Flynn over Wilson, just thinking its weird how Winslow seemed vocal Wilson should be starter then quits. |
