I'm still of the opinion that Deon Butler is the better player. And younger. Not a fan of the pick really, but good for Martin. | Better player? It's really not that close. Martin is a far better special teamer and very close as a WR. Deon is a slightly better receiver, but neither are going to see a what they were thinking. |
I wouldn't even say that. He has more consistent hands and is a far better blocker. As a #5/6 on this roster thats more valuable in a pinch. The FO made the right decision _________________

What exactly about Butlers hands is inconsistent? He's never had a propensity for drops and I think your statement is pretty empty. I'm not nearly as impressed with Martin as a receiver as you guys seem to be. Very mediocre at what he does. Butler at least provides speed mismatches from the slot. _________________

Have you been watching the last 2 1/2 years? Both he and obo have struggled with drops and routes over the middle. Butler has no problem making the open catch, but the ball just squirts out when he gets hit, too often. That combined with ST impact and blocking is why martin got the nod. He has caught everything thrown in his direction _________________

Agreed. Butler's hands are alright, just not strong. He's not going to make a catch with his hands and hold onto it if he is hit right after it gets in his hands. I like Butler's capabilities in regards to burning a cornerback with speed, but I don't think he could ever be relied upon to make plays in the middle of the field. Yes, he can make plays happen, but every time the ball is on it's way to him, I cringe. I have more faith in Lockette to be completely honest. |

Everything looks right, except Paul Mcquistan. He has started at LG the passed three games, and i think that may continue until Carpenter is healthy. The problem is JR Sweezy is expected to start, so i don't know where that leaves moffit or the RG position. Maybe they will indeed bench paul at LG _________________

Quote: | Two of the more noteworthy cuts on Friday returned to Seattle's team on Saturday as quarterback Josh Portis and linebacker Korey Toomer cleared waivers and were signed to the team's practice squad.
Portis spent last year as the team's No. 3 quarterback after making the team as an undrafted free agent from California University (Pennsylvania).
Toomer was the only one of the 10 players Seattle drafted who was let go on Friday. He is a linebacker from Idaho whose size and speed made him a very intriguing prospect, but he's still a bit raw. Still, the Seahawks worried he would be claimed by another team.
They join Edawn Coughman on Seattle's practice squad. Receiver Ricardo Lockette also indicated he's rejoining the team, presumably on the practice squad.
Update: Tight end Sean McGrath will also be signed to Seattle's practice squad. He caught five passes in four exhibition games, tied for third-most on the team. |

You think they would've had that part figured out before they put him on the final 53, wouldn't you?
