Now that Tim Hightower has been cut by the Redskins don't be surprised if Steve Slaton is traded to the Redskins. The Skins are looking very thin after Roy Helu and there has got to be some concern on Washingtons part of Helu being able to hold up over the course of a full season. _________________

Apparently the trade in place was Slaton for Anthony Armstrong, who's been released.
Maybe there is something else in the works but I dunno about that. _________________

I knew of Armstrongs release, I'm thinking maybe the fifth round choice in 2013 they got from New England in the Albert Haynesworth trade. _________________

Slaton to Washington for a 5th sounds good. Armstrong from FA sounds good too. _________________

I wonder if Washington wanted Slaton and a pick for Armstrong and Miami wouldn't budge because they knew he was going to be released. If hes smart he will come to south beach and start _________________

Unless a team who is on the verge of making the SB wants him, no offense but I would rather be #3 or #4 on a SB team then#1 on a first pick next draft team. _________________

I don't believe he will have a choice of where he goes. He only has two years experience (less than the four required to be a FA in this situation) so was waived rather than cut.
Looking at who has priority over us for waivers the Browns seem the most likely to take him. _________________

| I think a 5th for Slaton would be a steal, especially considering the fact that we have a similar player in Miller. Heck, I'd take a 7th. |

I guess the Skins RB situation is worse than thought. Slaton makes a lot of sense for them. Having played in Houston and DC is his hometown. _________________ "Yesterday Is History, Tomorrow Is A Mystery, And Today Is A Gift. That Is Why It Is Called The Present.""
