It's that time again. Time to see how well you know the team, and pick the final 53. No real surprises getting down to 75, but the choices are going to get tougher. Closest to 53 correct spots wins. Bragging rights are on the line.

The current roster

Gah, I want to put Willie on this roster, but I don't know if there's space.

I'll Take a shot at it...

Offense: 26
QB: 2
Phillip Rivers
Charlie Whitehurst

RB: 3
Ryan Mathews
Ronnie Brown
Jackie Battle (His ST's work gets the nod over Brink)

FB: 2
Jacob Hester
LeRon McClain

TE: 4
Antonio Gates
Randy McMichael
Dante Rosario
LaDarius Green

WR: 6
Robert Meachem
Malcolm Floyd
Eddie Royal
Vincent Brown
Richard Goodman
Michael Spurlock

OT: 3
Jared Gaither
Jeromey Clary
Mike Harris

OG: 4
Tyronne Green
Luis Vasquez
Steven Schilling
Rex Hadnot

C: 2
Nick Hardwick
David Molk

Defense: 24
DE: 3/4
Vaughn Martin
Corey Liuget
Kendall Reyes
(Antonio Garay) (DE and NT)

NT: 2/3
Cam Thomas
Aubrayo Franklin
(Antonio Garay)*

OLB: 5
Melvin Ingram
Shaun Phillips
Jarret Johnson
Antwan Barnes
Larry English

ILB: 5
Donald Butler
Takeo Spikes
Jonas Mouton
Demmorrio Williams
Andrew Gachkar

CB: 4
Quentin Jammer
Antoine Cason
Shareece Wright
Marcus Gilchrist

FS: 2
Eric Weddle
Darrell Stuckey

SS: 2
Atari Bigby
Brandon Taylor

ST: 3

LS: Mike Windt

I'd be expecting a vet CB to be brought in as depth, especially if Gilchrist and that'd remove Goodman from the 53 man.

I keep saying...Willie has no value on ST's. Goodman's value is completely ST's based.

But as i said before, the extra WR spot will probably be used for a vet CB.

So far Acee and Gehlken have confirmed the following have been cut...

Jaques Cesaire
Mario Henderson
Anthony Davis
Bront Bird
Colin Baxter

Baxter out, which most likely means Molk makes it.

Only one that surprises me so far is Baxter and even that not so much. Hadnot has past experience playing center and was a relative lock to make the roster as a backup. Davis and Henderson... neither were really all that good.

I'll echo JH's thoughts and say if Ladarius Green is cut it is a huge mistake.

Remember that the Chargers can now IR Brown and put him back on the active roster when he is healthy.

And I have no changes on my roster from Duffman's. Just use that extra slot from VB to put in another secondary member. Either Gregory Gatson or Corey Lynch.

Talk about bringing in Joselio Hanson or Drayton Florence as a 4th CB.

I guess I got the VB thing wrong. He has to be put on IR after week 1 to be qualified to be taken off.

What the hell are they thinking keeping Battle over Hester? Hester was finally running like the RB they brought him into be, and they cut him for a guy that won't do any better than 2.5ypc?
