not upset with a player that is just a long snapper being cut. overall these were the "easier" of cuts to make. the toughest decisions will be made at the end of the week |

I'm surprised Paxton got cut. I'm not unhappy about it, Paxton is a good guy but there's no reason to pay a LS $1m. It's one more Mac player out the door.
With Omon and Sylvester getting cut, it looks like the RB battle will come down to Johnson versus Moreno. It's assured that McGahee, Hillman and Gronkowki will make the team and I think at this point it's safe to assume Lance Ball will be the 4th RB. _________________ big_palooka:

Of this list the ones to note:
Sylvester - Because it means the Gronk got the job. Which I am not for.Xavier Omon - Because it means Knowshon is one step closer to staying on the team.
Paxton shouldn't affect us. New kid is fine and waaay cheaper. |
I am not happy with Gronk as our FB he is horrible! _________________

Could always carry an extra TE and use him as a Fb/H-back. I wouldnt say it locks up his job. _________________

Actually, he didn't. Can't remember the quarter but I noticed a tall skinny guy with a linebackers # snapping the ball on a punt. Did a nice job.
Looked it up and it is Aaron Brewer, rookie from SDS. 6'5" / 225 lbs. |

Paxton definately did not take every snap in the first preseason game, I can tell you that, as I paid close attention. I have no idea about the subsequent games.
In any case, this is good news. Now we can actually have a Long Snapper who can get downfield quicker, so we're not practically down one man every time we punt. What a waste Paxton was. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

I know this is about our cuts, but I just saw Gaffney got released by the patiots. I would like to see him come back to Denver. He was productive here and would be an upgrade over Caldwell and others. |

Haha Gaffney got released for a reason and he is also not on our team for a reason. I'm glad that no DT has gotten cut show their stuff one last week. Siliga and Garland are gone I'm sure PS probably. You guys think we sign other cuts especially after Friday? _________________

Why the Hate for Gaffney. He had his best year ever last year, nearly 1,000 yards and five touchdowns. I think he got released because of a quad injury that has limited him in camp. The numbers he put last year where better than any of our receivers and would be a huge upgrade over Caldwell, Hill, or maybe even Willis. |

Gaffney has had off the field problems also but idk. Here is an article on Brewer it shows how many snaps he did and so on he is pretty lean compared to an immobile Fridge (paxton) _________________

Jets have NO wide receivers. Wouldn't surprise me to see them pick him up. |

I liked Sylvester. Not a Gronk fan. Sorry to see him go. Does he have PS eligibility? |

BTW, with Brewer apparently set to make the team, we'll have at least one undrafted rookie free agent making the team yet again. Anybody know how long that streak is? I seem to recall its a pretty long one. Kind of like the fact that we always seem to have a rookie surprise making the team. And wouldn't surprise me if we have another 1 (or 2?). My bet would be Steven Johnson. |
